Everyone's opinion is moot the most important mech we need is the Woodsman lol.

I like a lot of the older generation clan omnimechs,

Well with Imperious getting Russ to admit that time line is out and uses current tech in game...

Nova Cat now fits.

Prime, A, B, and C all work with in the game...Combine with the Mechs popularity among pilots from previous games it would sell the wave 4 alone pretty well.

As of yesterdays Townhall, thats not the case anymore.
Mechs need at least 1 variant in timeline and no new tech.

Black Lanner is so bad, what is wrong with you people? What semi-viable builds can it run outside of the 6E arm?

Adding the Grendel (Mongrel) below assaults skews the fairness of the poll.

Russ basically confirmed that the Kingfisher would get ECM. That should put it ahead of the Turkina easily.

Honestly? I think PGi should stop cranking up magic of clan packs UNTIL introduction of certain IS equipment pieces, such as LFE (Light Fusion Engine, 75% of weight, cXL rules), ER small lasers, X-pulse lasers, rifle-class ballistics, Null Signature System, Superchargers and Tripple Strength Myomers.
P.S. Oh, and PPC capacitors.

Honestly we dont care what you thinking... Clans have almost three times less mech than IS, they need it.

Well, if you look close enough to this poll, many of the possible additions are FAST. While I DO understand that you want more toys to play with, superior range with superior speed and agility is not healthy for a gameplay, taking map layouts in mind. In current state of game, this will wreck the "balance" we have. However, I'm not against adding these, I'm just saying that certain pieces of equipment for IS should hit the mechbay first. If not all, 3 of them are pretty much baseline.
First, LFE. LFE is a basis of engines to make statement about IS survivability without laughs.
Second, rifle-class ballistics. Because lights superiority is the only thing IS currently has, might as well get some non-laser vomit options.
Third, X-pulse lasers. While being heat inefficient, they'll give at least something to counter clan laser vomit on quirked/moduled mechs.

Since Clans were announced, I've been screaming for the Black Lanner.
If not down to the fantastic builds it can run, it has MASC and ECM, and is a 55 tonner, which i believe we are currently lacking for clans.
And, it looks great in some of its Sarna pics. Posted Image

I agree. I'm looking forward to this Mech! :-D

This poll about possible wave 4 pack, not about balance, not about new equipment and not about clan OP PGI plz nerf.

Ok... they arent technically clan mechs or even technically battlemechs... but it would be worth it to take these into CW on mass (speaking as some one on the IS side) Posted Image

Light: fire falcon,
medium: stooping hawk,
heavy: linebacker,
assault: turkina.
When it comes to the turkina and stooping hawk, it pretty much comes down to aesthetics for me. Looking at pics of the turkina, it has an extremely bizzare (but undoubtedly interesting) shape and design so I'd love to see what pgi would do to it in order to make it more attractive to the general player base.

Seeing from these other posts, I can see how the night gyr might be a better heavy, but it's so goddamn ugly that I would hate to see that in the clan lineup. The linebacker seems like a cooler mech to me, and I think it would be a neat addition to the clan lineup.

As for the fire falcon, it can still move at really high speeds (~130kph), looks cooler imo, and carries a hell of a lot of firepower for a 25 tonner, easily out matching other lights in the lineup, all with enough heatsinks to keep cool. (All this im referencing refers to the primary configuration) I think this would make for a really badass clan light much that can bring a lot to the table as to how battles play out and how much pain lights can dish out. I think it would make for a really cool light mech that's incredibly fun to play.

I'm for the Fire Falcon myself, It looks like it has some torso hard points, (a trait severely lacking on most clan omnis atm) it's fast for it's size, is reasonably well armored, and most of it's weapons are mounted above the cockpit, meaning it would be able to take full advantage of cover. Hell, the B variant is basically a champion raven with a targeting computer instead of ECM.

Except you can't have one without throwing one. You get something OP by design, PGI either nerf it to the ground or overbuff something else. At the end of the day, it won't be me crying about toy being useless.
With introduction of mentioned IS pieces, there won't be that much reason for clan nerfs.

How about actually playing the game in what you want and like instead of some mech ripped from meta mechs because it makes you feel like you have sponsors and are good but you personally hate being forced down into it?

That out of the way, what people are attracted to it and such.

pros: 150 kph-ish with MASC, 120-ish without it.
Mixed energy and missiles, perfect for it's speed.
Can mount ECM
Can have more than 6 energy.

etc...

I can see quite a lot of ER medium lasers, ER large lasers, and SRM 6's on this thing.

Also it's the fact it's nearly 5 tons short from being a heavy yet it goes as fast as any clan light mech we got in game. This makes it a great light mech hunter with a pair of SSRM 6's.

Not in timeline, not in timeline, not in time line (or much of a game changer), out dated [we already got OP [in terms of lore] Autocannons just to make them rival clans. We got no way to make Rifles viable, Out of timeline, Out of timeline, impractical and out of timeline, and out of timeline.

All the mechs above are in timeline. Also we will see clan Heavy lasers and clan ATM's before your suggested items.

Funny how you wrote a truckload of stuff "out of timeline" while it's both got it's use, already exist in timeline and NOT a lostech.
What comes to rifle-class ballistics, it's got it's niche with "Ridiculously light gun, short range, bulky ammo", opening ballistics to light mechs,
What comes to ER SL, it's something that allows backups for "almost canon" loadouts for many medium mechs.
Also, you talk about timeline, but you totally ignore the fact that, as time goes, clans won't be stripped of their flag mechs (However, thinking about timeline, they should). Also, I don't see a terribly lot of in-universe events that point at any canon materials, rendering whole timeline argument rather slim.

Rifle-class ballistics isn't really necessary in the game. Simple quirks can extremely out weigh an AC over a rifle as a demonstration of how little difference there is. Rifles has a straight disadvantage at damage per ton... which if you are a light mech you would want more damage for the little amount of tons you bring. Not less. Light Rifle may be worth while but for it's low tonnage. It has extremely low damage. It does 3 damage While a heavier AC 2 does slightly less but could fire 4-6 more shots in the same amount of time.
If you want something for light mechs for ballistics the better idea is to incorporate ammo types into the game, in this case... well. Caseless ammo! (badum tish...) Which doubles the ammo per ton in exchange for a minor jam chance. This means light mechs can spend half the ammount of tons on AC 2, 5, 10, and 20 ammo....

On top of that, Rifles are experimental and obsolete. I think they are actually extinct by this point in timeline. I know for sure not a single mech 40 years ago to 40 years from now used them... I personally can't even name a single mech that has used it to start thinking about it.

Your point of ER small lasers doesn't hold much merit... what is wrong with normal small lasers? The extra range and heat of an ER small laser isn't worth randomly breaking the timeline and adding it into the game. No real mech close to timeline would require that break to be pushed in early if there is even a need to add more IS mechs or push any early besides some key omnimechs for IS which most of them do not have an ER laser. (Raptor, owens, avatar, hauptman, etc)

On the topic of events we did have the battle of tukayiid and such... Events are not held to often as I do believe PGI is working on ways to make them better. A better game mode/ reward/ etc...
They have it semi regularly... well it's actually the only event that's about a game mode/ playing that is outside the norm. So that's a thing .Also the videos show glimpses and easter eggs of our era as well as the tech and time line progression. We are going to get some of the first 3053 mechs this year or very early next year which is suitable as it is the year 3053. Abolishing the time line would be rather stupid in my mind. It'll break some of the remaining senses of introduction of mechs and weapons.

I much rather preffer adding things as they come rather than "because why not?".
As much as I want to see RAC 5's and mech tassers everywhere I think sticking to the time line is the best decision...

besides, for light mechs I think it'll be better to add Mech Motars to them instead of Rifles. This allows them to be an indirect and direct fire support with splash damage while being friendly on the tonnage... you could boat 2 mech motar 2's on a locust. (4 damage total, which is nice as it's still more effective than a single LRM 5 and AMS doesn't target these)

Aside from weapons since pgi does not follow the timeline they can throw in any mech you want I want

Firemoth Justifcation: The firemoth is a Locust on steroids, a pilot who stays still to long in this mech won't last long
Cougar justification: slower upgraded version of the Adder this mech would fill a critical role in the clans a viable scout with decent pod space.
