Prepare for the next wave of new players, probably?

Props to PGI and especially Alex!

Why is the Jenner the size of an Atlas?

It's just a different scale.

Scale...kind of like how you can buy star wars models where an X-Wing is the same size as a Star Destroyer etc.

My question is why the F not make it the same size, way better to see the details.

Wish I could buy Pgi mechs for my table top game.
Bet pgi could make tidy fortune on them.

It's the new Catapult size after the rescale :). I'm ok with it.

Pretty cool but kinda dashed my hopes of getting a 3D printer and doing this myself. I am no-where near talented or knowledgeable in the software enough to do the cleanup. :(

If someone had all that done though and all I had to do was hit print, then I would be grateful (and be obligated to donate a mech pack or whatever from the gift store). :)

Yup, it's because the rights for models/minis is extra and is with Iron Wind Metals iirc.

they only have digital rights.

BUt why CGL doesn't do it? I can only assume it's in case they have a divorce over the IP with PGI.

I wonder if PGI has contacted Iron Wind Metals for some sort of deal. Seriously, I can't see this NOT making them both money...

Seriously, there's plenty of us that play this game AND table top... It'd be cool to get the PGI versions and play on TT...

Mech Roids. They will be released in CW3 for MC.. Tired of your little locust feeling inadequate? Pop a Mech Roid and watch that little machine just swell right up to ATLAS size. The dire whale version still needs some work but they say the arctic cheetah will recover in time.

Dat atlas and jenner tho.

I'd totally buy it as a model kit.

It'll be even better as a diecast model kit.

This exactly. They'd be printing their own money. And PGI wouldn't have to do anything, just collect that royalty check.

3d printers have a max size they can print. The bigger the print the more time and filament used to print it. There's a little more to it than just scale.

You also still have to use the 3d model, splice it, etc.

They dont own the licensing rights nor did they go after it. Its that simple...

They never planned on making a tabletop game so why buy the rights to minis?

Its just another license, more hoops to jump through and a lot of work and money spent for little to no return. Honestly I bet HBS would do this long before PGI did and HBS is using mostly PGI assets as far as I can tell.

Don't really care WHO does it. We want minis based on PGI's artwork! :)

Disagree

I can understand not wanting to jump through the legal hoops, but mini's would absolutely be profitable.

Willing to bet that nearly all the whales of this game would have a pretty extensive collection, as well as tabletop only guys.
