May be LRM boating is not the best way to farm this event, but surely the easiest one: as all my matches are extremely terrible due to crappy MM - this way is the only one available to me. I really avoid playing this 'Mech, as it's Meta one and boosts my skill rating way higher, then my real skill level is, but via offering such a terrible event PGI simply forces me to do it.

Lurms are deffo going to be pretty good for farming kill most dmg if you are low enough tier to get to farm T4 and 5s.

LRMs are good for farming most damage because LRMs are terrible at killing mechs.

Which is funny, because with so much spread in its damage, it's hardly a kill stealer. Try AC20 for epic kill stealing

But nah. If you have a load of LRM boats in your matches, go in a FS or ACH and ruin their day. Lots of LRM boats unattended = loads of solokills for you = profit

All events start out as LRMaggedons, before people wise up that

a.) LRMs are NOT the best way to get your points because they are too easy to counter on most maps, unless some poor sucker really runs out of luck and gets caught way far out in the open
b.) All those lonely LRM boats out in the open make for juicy targets for anyone who is aggressive enough to advance on them using cover

So yea, business as usual on event weekend.

Fun little fact, removing the ST also counts arm IS+A damage towards your total.

You know what does this best? Without your weapons being neutered by the Reds not being Terribad?

I ran into only a few games that were massive LRMs. I was running around getting around 3 KMDD per match with 4xC-SRM6. Saw a lot more lazer boats and AC20s than I did LRMs.

This is how when I put four clean BJ-1X alphas into a KGC CT and killed him, I didn't get KMDD. LOL. Well, i pop lots of STs, so it comes around.

Yeah, i found myself going for sidetorsi when in competition for KMDD.

I also found myself abandoning my trusty LCT-1V(P) for this event, which lead to my PSR scores exploding, which in turn shows how horribly broken PSR as a system is.

How do you think players get to tier 1?

Hint it's not by playing substandard non meta builds.

Building an effective mech is a skill.

There is no skill in building laser boat, LRM60 boat, 6xUAC or 4xGauss Dire Wolf.

In solo queue you can take whatever you want and get to Tier 1, you just have to play to your mech's strengths.
