Sometimes a question is so serious it can't be settled by laboratory research alone, you need to go into the field and examine your bacon related questions at the source.
Also shoot some Liao in the face because that never gets old.
Where do I get my LRMs and flat floppy hat?

They're freely located in every public building, dorm, and garrison under Marik control. It's the first thing we install.

My own empirical data shows a strong correlation between thick-cut bacon and my enjoyment of the bacon.
Said data also supports enjoyment of crispy, well-done bacon over hastily-prepared, floppy bacon.
Also, I believe that a world with more bacon is a world with less jihad.

There's a lot of telemetry to support that.
Also there's a solid predictive model that shows the entire Word of Blake Jihad was simply the product of a steep rise in the cost of bacon, causing shortages, which made the bulk of Marik citizens go 'Wait.... what.... not enough bacon? **** it. Blow the universe up, burn down civilization. Humanity has failed'.

And they would have been right to do so.
