I recently bought the D variant and experimented with it. I feel despite it being a very unique and classic chassis, that motivates people to play it, it isnt competitive. I am not a fan of the quirk system, but it seems this chassis has been forgotten when this system has been introduced?

Smury lists these quirks for all Executioner variants
ACCELERATION RATE: 40.00 %
DECELERATION RATE: 40.00 %

TURN RATE: 25.00 %
TORSO TURN RATE (YAW): 30.00 %
TORSO TURN ANGLE (YAW): 10.00

It is nice that this chassis gains relatively much agility, but acceleration rate is really worthless, because the Executioner already invests multiple tons of its pod space for MASC, which is redundant with the quirk. You can also use MASC to turn faster, so only the torso turn rate and angle remain effectively.

I think the main issue with the Executioner is, that it has a puny payload of 25 tons, while bringing 16 heat sinks. That is 2 tons less than a 20 ton lighter Timberwolf. Yes, the Executioner has MASC and JJs (which I dont factor in for the Timberwolf), but it also weighs 20 tons more and is a much larger target. Thats why you cant make this mech bring enough value into matches. So far we just repeat the lore, but the MWO gameplay (=most efficient chassis wins) dictates competitiveness for all chassis.

Also many mechs have weapon quirks, e.g. 30% cooldown reduction for ballistics, or less laser heat etc. You could convert these quirks into tonnage buffs, i.e. they act as free tonnages, if you want to calculate it that way. This means the Executioner gets even further behind here.

If the quirk system is kept as it is the Executioner absolutely needs some competitive weapon quirks. E.g. ballistic cooldown and laser heat for the prime variant etc.
