I'd buy it for Android. Not an Apple fan to put it mildly.

Edit: I loved the Mech Commander series. I'd love to see a remake of those games for PC.

Sorry guys, had to move this topic to the correct forum. General discussion is for MWO-related topics. Keep us updated, though! I'm a big fan of tactical 'Mech action.

Forest Puppy's missile racks look goofy and out of place.
Atlas looks like he's best buddies with HK-47.
Warhawk has a smiley face on the front. Also, are those RACs or PPCs? I notice that some official lineart has PPCs with pepper-can muzzles.
Panther looks... odd. Might be the extremely polished silver paintjob. Makes it look like like a knight in armor, the head's decorative "jaws" almost look like helmet flippy-hinges.
Wolfhound is the least remarkable out of the bunch.

If you can say nothing else about it, I feel i must give props to that Panther's pilot. Even with the Atlas hiding out in the building shooting a PPC at a Timberwolf from a Panther take cahones the size of urbanmechs.

I will also throw my voice behind the "this better come out on Android" crowd.

Agreed, the more avenues that could possibly feed into this game, the better. We all benefit when the BT/MW universe takes on new players!

Actually yeah. You did nothing but say you didn't like the new mech designs.

I think they look pretty good for the platform it's coming out on. The Panther just floating kinda annoyed me, though. I know it's a slow mech, but come on, it's Jump Jets should be fine. XD

Agreed. The most distressing thing about that video was the little floating thing the Panther did. Other than that, I'm rather excited. Going to have to jack my girlfriend's iPad, though. Hey, I bought it, so why not? ;)

But I didn't. I only commented on their looks, and asked a question or two.

I LIKE the Atlas.

Not sucking developer's ****, how does it work!?

I like how in the trailer the panther comes out challenging a timberwolf in single combat. Silly Kuritans.

I wont pass judgement until I see more about the game. Models look pretty good, the seem to be pre-baked and jazzed up versions of the game assets. I like the look of the Panther and the Wolfhound. Atlas looks a bit lame though.

Finally got around to reading the PRweb article.

I was particularly intrigued by this line:

"Ten years have passed since the launch of MechCommander 2 in 2001, and with MechWarrior: Tactical Command, Personae Studios plans to bring strategic game play back into the MechWarrior franchise."

My take-away from this line is that this iOS app will/could be a long awaited replacement for MC2. Makes sense given the use of the word 'strategic'. Also, a "touch" environment would be perfect for a game like MC2.

If that's the case, the "video" would be nothing more than a promo - not actually what the game will look like.

One thing it did make think was. How cool would it be to allow you to tie your 'tablet' into MWO, using it as touch screen map with command overlay, or pipe certain information to this screen for faster or optimal interaction with components of your cockpit and mech functionality.
