But I didn't. I only commented on their looks, and asked a question or two.

I LIKE the Atlas.

Not sucking developer's ****, how does it work!?

Just giving you some curry bro... No harm intended. ;)

Don't like the atlas head either.

Cheers

That Atlas is very obviously intended to draw inspiration from the Dark Ages era AS7-K2 Atlas:

Apart from that I'm actually pretty impressed at how accurate to the tabletop models those pictures are. That Panther could almost be a 3D scan of the Panther mini I have sitting on my desk at home. Likewise with the rest of them.

And in case no ones gone back and looked, they've added two since the original post was made, the Enforcer and the Caesar.

Thinking about it, iOS is a natural development path for a new BT game. When MW2 came out, it was almost unavoidable on the PC, a lot of pre-built PC's came with it, vast numbers of people played it. In the Sphere Survey, 95 and 96 show the two biggest jumps in people being first exposed to the BT franchise.

If done well this could have the same effect, and bring large numbers of new people into the franchise.

I agree, and imagine how many MORE people they'd get if they ported it to Android.

The exclusive release on iOS does not mean there will never be an Android version. This game entered development around the same time we saw the first trailer from Piranha and back then Android was a complete unknown in the market. Obviously there has been substantial growth in the Android market but the Android system is not nearly as developer friendly given the number of hardware manufactures. It boils down to the cost to support both platforms out of the gate. The primary developers are an iOS team and have not made the jump to Android yet.

I'm excited to see what it's like. I've always liked the premise of the MechCommander games. The idea of controlling a larger battle with individual complex units is thrilling to me. I'm unbiased when it comes to the platform. I think there are many platforms a great game can be made on. I'm bummed that it's not really "open" per say so it could be used on many platforms, but I'm interested to see their perspective.

:P Space Marine shoulder pads don't belong on an Atlas.....

Pity only iOS as I won't buy anything apple. Port to android and you have something.

Agree with everything.

My question is: there are more android devices than iOS devices. If they offered a graphics settings option on a settings display, they could easily implement it for the dynamic field of android devices like games played on windows and Mac OSX.

...
So why not android?

I cant really understand why people play games like this on their phone. The only time i am away from a PC is when i am travelling maybe. And then i enjoy playing simple quick games on my phone. I cant see when i would have the time to play it. I would wait untel i got home and play MWO or something. The same at work with My laptop.

Anyway i agree the games doomed because of the limited number of platforms
