(personal experience my change.)

If your team all rushed together, I find it unlikely that they were all random drops, almost certainly some groups in there. Different story with a bunch of randoms who may or may not speak the same language. What happens most of the time is one lance starts a rush, the rest of the team hangs back so as not to scratch their paint and you end up 4 mechs down pretty quickly. Statistically the team with the most long range weapons will win on this map most of the time if you assume that teamwork on both sides is equal.

I clicked quick play and it put me in a match, unless the Q split is a lie then please let me know how I was with groups.
Yes more often then not pug games are a cluster ****, but my team kept moving and the enemy stopped and tried to lrm and laser.

eh kindve. MW4 had way bigger/steeper hills which actually kindve broke up the map better. This map is just kindve like blahhhh one big open area where long range weapons and lrms dominate.

No tactics, just blob up, whichever blob splits first loses.
The cover / terrain is absolutely garbage tier. I cannot believe they spent time and paid someone to create this.

Mind you, this is an early impression.

Best of all you can actually see things without cycling through modes, squinting at the screen.

not really. theyre pretty shallow gullies if you ask me.
i played the map with a narctic cheetah and just narcd the enemy team and they all died to lrms
because theres almost no terrain high enough to stop lrms
I dont get how it was supposed to replace alpine. alpine is a totally different game experience altogether.

No, really.
It's LRMfest, and a throwback to the old gauss/PPC meta. Way too open for my liking.
But once you get up close with a fast brawly mech: Regular Ordinary Rasalhague Meal Time!

Njah, us randoms keep eyes open, push when need to push, join pushes when need to.
And yes, sometimes it goes stellarly wrong when you find other didn't push or you were being too agressive.
But sometimes all the notes hit right and teams think as one, frankly those are the best moments when, without words everybody is with the program...

If CW gets the popup warning about endgame its almost as fair to put a warning that pub queues are every man for himself attrition lol

You make a Youtube vid yet James
Take my 'likes'!
It's uploading now and it's a whopper of a match on Polar no less. I was extremely happy with how it turned out. The only downside was Shadowplay made the vid a little choppy near the end for reasons only known to Geforce experience. But the match was beautiful. I won't spoil the end result but yeah, it's sweet.

It supports the meta even more and everyone just stands in a line and fires at each.
