Northpole Map is huge and favours long range - pretty boring Map but what do you expect form an Ice-Desert.
Gauss CD decrease was uneccessary - if you want to be a Sniper you have to show some dedication and not become a DPS-Monster (especially as the Gauss is the No-Heat Weapon and free DPS heatwise).
******* Voting is still ******* there - **** It !!!
Did not notice performance gains or troubles - troublesome spots are still troublesome like Caustic E4 that has ~25 FPS at one Point and next step it has ~60 FPS - and that only happens on the Server but not on the Testing Ground.
Have a good 2016!

The Gauss still has the lowest DPS of any ballistic weapon, other than MGs, and still gets critted easier than any other component and explodes, oh and weighs the most too. It was over-nerfed last patch by increasing the cooldown by 1.5 seconds. This is them trying to get in in a better spot without it being near useless, like the last 2 weeks.

An AC20 is gone as soon as the Armor is gone and you Need to go much closer as its a dedicated Brawler Weapon - why should a dedicated Sniper Weapon like the Gauss be more usefull overall?
With good Ballistic Cooldowns its already at a very good spot!

AC 20 has 18 HP (Clan one is 10 hp), Gauss has 5, Gauss has a 90% chance when destroyed to explode and deal 20 damage to your mech.
"With good Ballistic Cooldowns" - So you're saying the weapon is in a good place in general now if it's put into a mech that has the right perks for it? When most clan mechs have no perks, and the ones they have hardly fit into "good", and they have only one ballistic weapon that fires a single slug.

I say the Gauss is arelady good as it is and becomes even better with quirks and that is how the game works - now it will become the weapon of choice again instead of being a choice among others that makes a Player weight Advantages and Disadvantages of the Gauss seriously.
