Title^

I got a few friends playing now that the game is on steam, but there is still one major consistent complaint among them.

The grind is

TOO

Dam

Hard!!!

So now that League of Legends has this new feature I believe now's the time to adopt it. That and if I can play all day and still only 1/4 of the way to saving for my Executioner that's a bit much.

Dude i just unlocked my panther tank in warthunder and that took me the better part of a year, dont even ask how long the tiger tank took to unlock.

the executioner is hands down one of the most expensive mechs, EVER like IN BATTLETECH, it SHOULDNT be able to be bought in one day of grinding.

If you can get that many cbills in 3-4 days thats impressive, even with premium time hero mechs and running hardcore builds, its still 35 MILLION cbills m8

EDIT

Ive never bought a clan mech with cbills, they are just outside my price range, I buy those and the IS heros with real money.

Shoot for the price of one executioner you can master out 3 blackjacks and put a max XL in each one of them.

I know my choice of mechs is a factor. But still, my friends who struggle to get kills earn less than 50k per match are already getting burnt out of the grind.

I find the biggest turn off for new players isn't grind, it's getting crushed by better players.

If you try and coach you buddy through group queue, you get crushed by better, more organised players.
The only other option is to send them off alone into the solo queue where they might stand a chance, but then you can't coach them or play with them, which defeats the purpose of bringing a friend.

There's no easy solution to this problem

I haven't checked in a while, but aren't there 16 trial mechs available across both factions and all meta-bated out for your convenience.
And if you jump into a chassis prematurely, you can always go back to the trials. Earning 50k a match is a problem with the group queue, solo they should make much more.

If you're only pulling in 50k a match, you have more pressing issues than pining over shiny new mechs.

A way to play with friends with out worrying about the higher grouped players devastating your team would do more for the game than a reward system. Sure you can do private matches but that assumes both people have mc or are willing to use real money to buy mc. When I try and bring friends into the game they quit after a few hours at best citing that it sucks loosing all the time to better teams, higher mastered/maxed mechs, and not even getting a single kill.

CW would probably be a better place to play with noob friends than the group queue. Unless you all want to run heavies I guess.

Pay out would be a bit better, and your clan so the Trial mechs don't suck (our unit's players were regularly pulling 2k damage a match with trials). If you fight clan Wolf (SWOL) most of their teams are easier to beat than pugs, otherwise fight Davion which is about the same just because they pick up all the T5-4 pugs that run sniper and LRM boats.
