So I built a new PC recently, and since installing MWO on it, when I am moving and press R to lock a tartget it stops all of my movement. This has never happened before.

Needless to say this is annoying as ****!

Does anyone know why that is happening, is there some setting I don't know about?

Thanks.

No I am holding down "W" moving forward scouting etc" If I press "R" while holding "W" I stop dead in my tracks. I have to let off of "W" and press it again.

Odd.

Sounds like you have a cross in your targeting system and throttle control.

Does that only happen with R and W?
If you change the key for those does it still happen?
If you hold wwwwwwwwwwwwwwww and then press R does it do it in any other game?

Does it do this with any other games?

What if you push a different key (any letter, does it do the same thing?)

I am noticing on my work PC here, if I hold a repeat a W (or any letter), then tap another letter, it stops the W from repeating.

my best advice... get rid of throttle decay. Free up that middle finger :D

Did you get a new keyboard too? Some keyboards have a limit on the number of keys you can press at a time. I think it's called keyboard ghosting. What keyboard are you running?

Try it in a different game as suggested. Some keyboards get their "wires crossed" (you kind of need to pull an offending one apart to see how) when you press multiple keys.

This may be the case, or a fix could be to reset your key bindings and then reassign them and test in training grounds.

This does not happen in any other game.

I have the same KB/M I have had for about 4 years.

It allows for up to 10 input commands at the same time.

Litterally 2 days ago on my old PC this set up worked just fine. Now on this PC something is causing an issue.

Try to remap the button to something else just as a test

As I said, try reset binding keys.

If you haven't already, try repair tool.

This sounds to me like the next thing to check. I'd also check the interaction between holding a key and striking another with different keys and different programs.
