I still need a third Nova (though the chances of me actually using it are only slightly more than me using my Cicadas). I was thinking the -S, but they're on sale at the moment and the -B is within my C-bill means, and was reminded that the particular variant doesn't really matter so much with omnis. So, I present the NVA-BS
Not entirely comfortable with how many MPL it has, but SPL weren't heavy enough to maximise tonnage, though I could also stuff it with heatsinks.
Thoughts?

I run basicly the same thing, just with one ton less MG ammunition and one more heatsink, also I do not use a TarComp but an Active Probe, to help against ECM mechs and extend sensor range in general. You want to ambush enemys, not snipe at them. 2 tons for 4 MGs is overdoing it, since you use them to crit out armorless sections, not strip armor off.

Mhm, why are you using the one B and one S side torso? The S side torsi both have 2 ballistic hardpoints and quirks for MGs as well.

If you modify the B that much, it will not really cost you any less than the S, even if it is on sale.

I am not sure if the B ballistic arm gives quirks to UACs or if they work for LBXs too, if they do, try this for a complete B omnipod loadout:

Not meta or optimized of course, but with 2 sets of weapons that harmonize very well... LBX5 and ERPPC, ranges and projectile speed are similar, SPL and MGs as well since MGs are hitscan, not projectile.

If the quirks only work for UACs, just switch the LBX for a UAC and the ERPPC back to a LPL. Again, their ranges are similar and the LPL duration is low enough for it to work with the UAC5.

Or, if you have Nova A arms and left torso available and , try this...

The description for the Clan active probe doesn't say anything about countering ECM like the IS counterpart. Is this something they left out by accident?
Also, I should be able to afford the -S after a good game or two, otherwise I'll be getting the -B while it's on sale and then waiting until I have the c-bills to mutilate it, since I'm not really in a hurry

BAP and CAP work exactly the same.

If you have the option, then get S. You can play it stock and never look back. My 3 favourite configurations are basicly the Stock Prime with rearranged DHS, the S without AMS and another DHS and the stock A.

CT quirks of the B are superior to the others, which is kinda sad, but well PGI's balance decisions
