Actually as a little bit of fun I calculated it up to 20 and after the engine adjust for size and structure adjust, it works with no change in available tonnage for armor and weapons. I think it carries jj too :3. 2 tons stock though... it would need endo and ferro both just to survive.

Wait, only one ton of armor ? must go back and check notes... swore it had 2...

Ok went back and figured out the mess up. It'd actually be able to field 2 extra tons of armor our weapons before upgrades and a 180 stock engine when upscaled to a 20 tonner. But one med laser, it'd be another 2 hard point fiasco probably xD

97[4] km/h (119[4]km/h with MASC)

It literally goes crazy slow for a light. However, I'm sure that would be changed in MWO to compensate with a higher engine cap.

FLE-14 goes 151 km/h and it jumps.

FLE-14 theorycraft for funsies:

2-3 E hardpoints
180 stock engine would be max probably due to current game engine coding (to up to lol 250 if the engine could handle it)
4jj stock, but few weapons so probably up to 8 to fly like a spider.

I think it could compete with locusts.

Heh, could make a hero mech, name it lucky 13 (FLE-13):
A FLE-14 customized with a heavier chassis to hold more equipment, it'd conform to the 20 ton range with a fairly unique combo of jump jets and speed on a 20 ton mech.
It wouldn't have as much weaponry as a locust, due to the jump jets.

All of the low-engine cap mechs are getting punished by current construction rules.
External DHS that work less efficiently than internal, and less room for ferro-fibrous.

I'd like an FLE-19 just so I can annoy the hell out of assaults and heavy mechs (Like I do now with my LCT-1V). If Sarna is to be believed, it has 10-12 machineguns, a flamer and a rocket launcher.

If I could cram 8000+ MG rounds in there.......

TT didn't have that problem because all DHS had the same stats. I'm not sure MWO would be a better game if we changed all DHS to 2.0 dissipation today.

Furthermore, it's not the low speed that kills the low-engine lights. It's the lack of agility, since engine size effects acceleration, turning, twisting and moving your arms.

It's not just changing all DHS to equality (which I support). I also support introducing a real heat scale based on TT.

So, I added it, along with the Cyclops (this is IS only - and does not include anything that is pre-3028 (such as the Mauler)

I haven't wanted to pay $ for anything in MWO for a long while. The Flea is a contender, but still wouldn't get me opening my wallet. The Firemoth, however, would, provided it has the hilarious arm geometry like in the Sarna page.

I created the Flea Orthos from the files that the creator had posted.

The Cyclops overhead is from MegaMek - which was then modified to match up with the other Cyclops Orthos.

If we can have Urbie, we can have the Flea! Different enough from the Locust, with shorter side profiles, more hardpoints on some variants and higher mounts. A dream of me are a full team of only Locusts and Fleas, assault nightmare and for the lols Posted Image Speed arent the issue either.
No excuses Russ, and I dont think there are any worries, the Fleas will bring you money.
Think of this, what if it was all was reversed?
That we got the Flea for the Phoenix Package back in the day (before I started playing), but now had to beg for the Locust?
