I have tried quite a few variations with no definitive success. What builds are working for you? Any advice regarding 2x AC-5, 3x AC-5, or 4x AC-2 builds?

Thanks!

Boom. Close the thread. Posted Image j/k

Besides 4 AC5, you can try out 2 UAC5's with 2 ERLL. I've been having luck with that. BLACK WIDOW

With this build i had the best results so far.
BLACK WIDOW (default armor, adapt as it pleases you)
The LPL get a nice range bonus and if you engange in a brawl blind them with those MGs and rip the internals apart as soon as their armor is gone.

Compared to the other variants which I run with STD-engines I have to say it's no big difference.

I have had great success with 2 LPL, 2 ML and 4 MG, best game (out of 4 I have had with that build) was 767 damage, 3 solo kills and 2 assists.

I just broke into the top 50 on the blackwidow leader boards (48th as of posting) with my

Hamster Huey Brawler:

2 LBX-10s (100 rounds), 1 SRM 6 (200 missiles), and 1 large laser pointer to poke people with.

Huey runs fairly cool (except on Therma and Caustic) which gives you the ability to throw 41.9 points of alpha at the reds all day long. Combining this with a sprightly 74.6 kph from the 300XL engine (after speed tweak) and surprising maneuverability means you can juke anything that you can't beat in to submission. The fact that your two main sources of damage are shotguns means snapshots tend to be fairly effortless.

The main thing you need to worry about is spreading the damage across your mech because of the bullet magnet some jerk stuck in your center torso. other than that it plays like a pretty stand brawler that has the stamina to regularly put out 700 plus damage if your smart about your engagements and I even pulled off my highest damage game ever in it with 1223 damage when all was said and done.

I honestly think if I hadn't started trying for the leader boards yesterday and had more time this setup could get me to top 25 before my lack of skill would let it down.

Hope this helps!

I run mine with the stock engine,2 uac5's 1ac5 4 medium lasers.
I have run the quad ac5 build and that's very good too but had to shave off quite a bit of armour to get enough ammo.

Just finish to master my lovely Widow.
I really like it.
I started with 4ac5, but then..... higher dps with 2ac5/2uac5! A lot of fun.

I have had many 600+ damage drops with this. But if I drop Polar, it sucks till you can get close. Lot of hiding int he trenches and moving around the side. Great on every other map.

Thanks guys! Golrar, that dual AC-10 and medium laser build is basically my 6R loadout. I am enjoying the 4xAC-5 build on my BW, may try out the dual UAC-5,dual LPL build 8mm mentions. I do love me some large pulses....just hate the UAC jams and facetime.

My WHM-6R. I completely disregard the ballistics. Although I did have some fun on Crimson Strait the other night with this. Works good on the BW as well. Not the best, but with the ML range module and the LB cooldown module, plus the ballistics cooldown quirk on the BW being better, you can scare the crap out of people in the tunnel.

I like the twin Gauss with 4 med back up lasers, 5 tons of ammo for the gauss, much fun and the charge up for the twin gauss sounds aswesome.
