So I've been thinking of possible Atlas builds as I have a issue with buying an Atlas then selling it awhile after as I just can't play them. So I was in the mechlab and threw this together and I'd like your guy's opinion on if I should buy it.
Many Thanks!

This is my long range K build, To me, the D, DDC, and S7 do brawling far better with their many SRM banks. Just adding one SRM just doesn't do it for me. Outside of that, I would highly recommend not using an XL in an atlas. Even bumping the engine to max, it is just to slow to make it worth doing. Protect your main weapon side, and tank the best you can, it's what all that armor is for, even long range builds.

I threw in the SRM and kept the Meds just for back up against mechs that get too close and I decided for the XL since it's gonna be played mostly at range it should be mobile enough at 52 Kph that I can get out've the line of fire if needed.

AS7-K
400m range on the LPLs
300m range on the Mediums and AC20
60KPH to keep up with the nascar
AS7-K
Gauss 600m
LPL 400m
MPL 200m
Can snipe before closing the distance so you get some damage in on big maps like Alpine with that Gauss.
AS7-K
I don't normally put LRMs on an Atlas because they have low tube counts. This Atlas has 30% cooldown on missile but only 1 missile hardpoint, so drop the engine down to a 300STD and you can offer support fire while you close the distance and sniper fire with the Gauss.
Do not use an XL engine in the AS7, the shoulders are HUGE targets and you will die really fast.
Do not bring a command console, they are still working out how to buff it so its terrible right now.
Do not bring a single SRM 6, just put more heatsinks or better lasers on

Like i said, it is just a different take,, some people like short ranged weapons for lights, But 3 LL's you can leg sweep with enough damage to take um down, not to mention if they over heat, or stop, or make a wrong move, you can just Gauss um. But the SRM6+MPL's will help you add a bit more DPS at the 250m range or so and add a little more brawl to it..
But again, i will highly recommend not going XL on an atlas, Especially a gauss build, that weapon can explode far to easy, and if it does, your dead. Case will not save you.. Nor will the Case you have your SRM ammo in. gauss blows up or you get an ammo explosion with that build, you are history. A very good rule of thumb is Don't XL any gauss build, that you can't stick the gauss in the arm's it's just to dangerous. (there are a few exceptions to that rule, but in general.)

It's not mobile enough. Pull the XL it's a death sentence for an Atlas. It may even be more likely to get you killed because it's an Atlas K that in it's stock configuration runs an XL so more players may be willing to XL check you.
JC's Atlas K build is far more sound with only the NARC being a questionable choice for a "long range build" as well as CASE since I don't find it all that useful.
I would start with JC's Atlas and pull the NARC and CASE out for upgrading to a 350 standard engine with 12 DHS Endo Steel, 3 ER Lrg Lasers Gauss Rifle with 4 tons ammo 2 AMS with 2.5 tons ammo.
61 KPH is fast enough to keep pace with most mixed bag solo teams and mobile enough to avoid being force into brawl ranges so you can leverage your weapon's range to better effect.
