Oh hai,

Its been a while...
Recently jumped back into MWO and things seem to have gotten better.

Saw we now got a character rank and I have a few questions about rank and scores.
To this end I've collected a few game score screenshots.

What level is a level 4 (me) player really? Mid tier? Top of the scrubs?
Whats the upper level players performing at.

Next up, I've been dabbling around, as usual, with some lights and medium mechs. Here are a few screenshots of match scores.

(Cicada / Wolfhound / Wolverine)

How does that relate to the expected performance of lights / mediums?

Yes, I'm putting my balls out on show. Be gentle.

I am a light pilot and you are performing on the top end better than me and I am considered a good light pilot with one or two solo kills a match and an average damage around 350 my best is 717 in a cheetah. If you are good at spotting and scouting you are top of the game that I have seen in lights.

Thanks! I must admit though, those screenshots were just ones I had lying around, so they might be some of my better matches.

And the level thing? How does that fit in? At this time 4 is just an even number with no meaning.

OK, I found a topic explaining the matter.

So 4 is just "new player" status.

Great.

the tiers are practically just an "experience" meter.

It is fairly easy to move up with wins, and moderate performance. However, it takes A LOT of losses combined with poor performance to move down.

T5 and 4 are practically indistinguishable.

T3 things change. Havent noticed any change in T2, and I often get lumped with T1, so practically speaking in my experience there are only two tiers, high and low.
