If I recall correctly when Urbie dropped there was this bug that caused torso twist rate to get fubar depending on if you had arm lock on or off.
I have that, right now.
I havent played really since Dec. I used a name change, so my profile stuff wiped. I reset that stuff in game(I didn;t have any "add ins" to the player config folder) but this issue persists, and is really, REALLY ruining my fun.
I bought a couple BJ, and tried running threm through basics last night. These mechs have NO LOWER ARM ACTUATORS. if I turned arm lock on, my twist rate went totally into the toilet, as in, setting my mouse DPI to 5000 I still couldnt twist all thew way to one side without picking my mouse up twice(ran off side of pad)
Arm lock off: my pilots "head" turns faster then the mech can twist, but mouse speed appears... normal, well, kinda. Still sluggish, and the crosshairs have to play "catch up" to where I look, and the little BJ twists like DWF speed. Still 1000 times better then arm lock turned on, but not right.
I used the "mouse sensitivity" control to try to find a middle ground, and left arm lock off, but its just wrong and not very fun to say the least.
So, anyone else have this crop back up? Is there something I missed in the options that would affect this? It seriously feels exactly like that bug from when urbie dropped.
i ran repair tool, it found nothing.
Time is running out on this personal challenge for the weekend thing, and I am torn between playing or not because of this issue. Kinda a suck *** way to come back after a month off IMO.

K, played tonight, logged after a few rounds out of disgust.
Asked in all chat and got some responses to the question "anyone else seeing fubar twist rate"
Answers were an immediate "yeah skill trees blah blah" but when I brought up the arm lock thing, I got a mixed bag of "rthat ain't right" to "yeah when arm lock is on it's supposed to slow down"
I played a couple BJ matches, then jumped in a Mauler for two matches.
My twist rate is THE SAME FOR BOTH CHASSIS.
Can some one from PGI please respond if this is the new normal thing, where my mechs all turn at the same rate and arm lock affects twist rate on mechs without lower arm actuators, or if this is the return of the annoying urbie bug? Every match is a CT core out for me, trying to twist to spread dmg just makes my pilot shake his head "no" while the enemy gets free shots on my non responsive mech.
Challenge be damned, I refuse to play this way, i got better things to do. Maybe I should have taken two months off.

This is a ghost town, and i had a thread on GD so i am linking it.
basically, something in Jan 19th patch, OR name change has triggered very bad effects on my mechs behavior.

Playing tonight. In Marauder hero.
I logged initially to drop in the training grounds to mess with settings, see if I can at least make this playable. Before it let me, I had to reassign my keyboard for the "center legs" function, as it was not assigned anything(presume from my name change)
Dropped in my Atlas S(L) in the training grounds. Noticed immediatly, my arms(Atlas has actuators) tracked my mouse so fast, faster than my pilots head could turn. Torso appeared to move more quickly then in my last sessions.
However, when I turned on Arm Lock, my torso twist went into the basement. Still have to pick up my mouse, even set at 2400 DPI(goes faster but I havent tested that yet as it would be pointless) to turn a full "quarter turn", or a full twist in one direction we will call it. Basically, it takes two complete "swipes" with my mouse to turn from center to all the way to the side with arm lock.
If I reduce my mouse DPI to as low as 1000, the speed is unchanged. At 800, I see some decline in speed, to an even slower movement pace.
mouse sensitivity is set to max(1) because at anything else it is unplayably slow.
Dropping in my Marauder hero, which has upper arm actuators but no lower(no sideways arm motion) without arm lock, the game is playable in regular drops, I am using my mouse to adjust DPI on the fly, so when I am in menus or mechlab, I can crank it up some, and lower it to taste for aiming. I did not used to have to do this, I used to be able to simply set my DPI to around 1200-1400 and leave it and mouse tracking for both pointer and crosshairs was fine.
The only thing I knowingly changed between earlier posts and tonight is assigning a keyboard hotkey to "center legs". Arm Lock is still 100% FUBAR, but at least I can use my mouse software to play. This is going to limit, quite a bit, which mechs I field for simple enjoyment reasons as I can not toggle arm lock on and off for brawling/targeting/shooting a UAV down/ etc.
Because of the apparent change in play brought about by the "center legs" function, I am still leaning towards something related towards the Urbie torso twisting bugs of last year. At that time, the short term fix was to actually turn on arm lock. Now, arm lock is actually the main issue.
I havent recieved any response from my support ticket(outside of the "we got it" email) but I hope if someone at PGI is reading this topic this info is useful and you guys can get this discovered and patched asap.

Update for today: no change from last post. I have managed a work around, but any mechs where I made use of arm lock are on the shelf for the time being.

sent a email to @support, got the auto- "we got it" reply one, but they havent got back to me yet otherwise. IMO, something whacky went wrong with the name change thing. My tier was reset to 5 for like, one day too, now it is back at 2 where it was. This arm lock/twist rate crap persists though, but everything else appears to have sorted out. Have been playing Marauders, which I only sparingly toggled arm lock on anyway, so have been able to play at least(affects me still, but livable for now). But I have 226 mechs(and many mastered then sold others) and quite chunk of them will be mothballed until this is fixed, my prefered loadouts on a lot of them just don't play how I want when arm lock is off the table.

It will take them a couple of days to get back to you based on personal experience.
It sounds like a corrupted file or something and would recommend waiting for support to get back to you. However, if you really cannot wait, you could try the following:
Option 1.
Go to Users/yourname/Saved Games/MechWarrior Online/profiles
Backup your profile to some other location
Delete your profile
Start up MWO
Rebuild you keybindings
Test
Option 2
Fresh reinstall

Mmh, always thought it was meant to be that way. That's why I never use armlock.
