no achievement, no C-bills, no MC, no locked out from quick play now, no forced into "hard mode" CW only, no make a group / unit or your locked out, no greater grade of opponent in any rounds, hell not even a pop-up pixelcrak fanfare screen.......
oh wait, i did get increased wait times for matches now...only in quick play with oceanic server only selected.....so yeah....
I look forward to tier 1 and all that it brings.....

Considering the tier system is just an experience bar, they're probably going to reach T4 well before you reach T1. So you'll see them again real soon now. <maniacal >

lol, but PGI would have us all believe the tier system is an intricately calculated player skill rating system used for match making rounds that are going to provide a competitive balanced fight.
LOL

yup, using my added time to kill while waiting for rounds on a server that isn't crippled with lag, just to highlight one of the multitude of PGI's failings.
its just another game, and will remain so while under the current longstanding direction that it has been taken in.
I dream of a great game based on an IP that is treasured and valued beyond measure, so please forgive me for my moment of pointing out another aspect of repeated failure in this mundane simplistic game.

The more you play against t1-t3 the less you will make in cbills because the games are under 5minutes
Honestly though the tier system is just for PSR to separate the very worst from the rest. The reason (I assume) for the exp bar aspect is to take into account leveled mechs and modules.
PGI is giving away a ton of swag and making many mechs on sale, so be happy. I have known many really talented athletes and artist as well as gamers. The really good ones never talk about what their passion owes them, they are too busy enjoying it.

I couldn't think of anything else to say, I felt this was a little humble brag and complaint that the non-exp bar is still not an exp bar and nothing happens when you 'level up'

With some of the matches I've had to deal with recently, you would be hard-pressed to make that statement with a straight face.

Congratudolences would be more accurate I think.....
not a brag, and yes a complaint, as the exp bar that is the tier system is the worst possible incarnation of anything remotely akin to a player rating based on skill system ever conceived.
it is literally a meaningless representation lacking any value that is just another example of PGI's half arsed approach to everything in the game, all of which contributes to this being just another game instead of the next great game in a loved battletech series.
yup, you got me there, except for the bragging bit, as tier rank holds no value and is nothing more than a glorified exp bar.

MWO is kind of especially vulnerable to hostilities, because we meet new players every 5 minutes, so there's not a lot of point introducing yourself and saying hello all the time, or get a conversation going. And when people say rude things right before the match is over, they can usually be fairly certain they won't have to encounter the same people again, especially if they wait 1 minute before starting the next match.
On the whole, I'd say that Tier 2 is much, much better than the Elo-Underhive before PSR. Teams still make dumb decisions, but it's mostly on the macro level. I don't have to suffer watching as many people fire LRMs at point blank or sniping with medium lasers from the top of Alpine. And for the days when you have the energy, it's a lot easier to get the team to rally behind a team now, compared to before. At least on the North-American servers.

I gave up on Oceanic server after tier 1. 380 EU and 320 NA are better than what that ghost town has to offer. My record, 1 hour 39 minute wait in a medium. For a 12-0 roll. Those other servers can deal with my 380 locust ping now.

Always just have to type in chat
"I like to eat poop"
or perhaps
"plan is to split up and die, ok guys?"
breaks the ice alittle.

I used this video when I went from Tier 4 to Tier 3, but I figure it is appropriate here too.
