Yeah I'm working on getting a list of such users and posting it off forum of people to just ignore. Like I said I have about 8 or so pilots that have done nothing but troll my recent posts. Did I go a little overboard with the MK II? Yes, am I ashamed? Hell no! 10/10 would and will do it again.
Most of the things I actually fight and ask for are for the longevity of MWO, the Mad Cat MK IIwas my selfish shameless plug

It can't do what the Atlas can. No multiple (more than 2) missile slots and 20 PPFLD projectile launcher. It can boat cSPLs but those are on the arms which can be blown off.

more a comment to it's general role and probably geometry. Remember..until ubequirked, the Atlas really wasn't doing much either... aside from getting gimped right and left.

Atlas never had access to 56 damage alpha at 600m range and engine bigger than 360 except for the hero variant.

Have you read my Feature Suggestions? Your response says no.
You love THIS game. I love what this game could be. There is room for us both.

moments of honesty like this would actually have gotten you a lot less grief to begin with. Instead of claiming it was altruistic for the good of the game. Since 90% of your opposition was explicitly because of that one reason.
Go figure.
Now if only you could be so honest about the nature of the feud you almost single handedly invented, lol..... (and still drop little offhand comments to keep simmering despite claiming "I'm ignoring you").

and still missing the basis of the comment.......
(and love how many people seem to think that the total alpha number matters, compared to how much of the Atlas's alpha is FLD, allowing it to twist and spread damage, but that too, is another discussion)

Quirks aside, the Atlas has almost all that is needed for a brawler except speed. One variant even has ECM!
The Kodiak only has the suitable humanoid shape and shield arms. Well, at least those arms can mount 8 SPLs (but also can be blown off being shield arms).

UAC20s are good enoggh now, IMO they can compare pretty favorably to std AC20, at least before various quirks. Yeah, it's not FLD, but it's a realyl short burst and can still kick out twice the total damage for 2 ttons less, on a mech able to use a Clan XL.
Sounds like a fair tradeoff... especially since that AC is generally depicted at much higher mounted, allowing it to peek (especially if it's present on the MASC/Hero Russ intimated)

Can confirm. Have a couple mechs built around a single UAC20 (EXE and GAR specifically). The weapon is absolutely beastly, though the ballistic drop on it is really god damned high given the damage per shell. The LB20X, however, is also a very solid choice. It's the only LB series gun I'd seriously consider. Lower ROF and spreads a bit, but more usable for a typical Hit-Shield-Hit-Shield brawling style. At least at sub-200 meters.

do think the individual shells on an LB-20 should be counted more like AC5 shells for velocity and drop off. If anything the range should be impacted more by recoil, or a CoF mechanic than "just being a short range gun", since reality is it's firing a stream of much smaller shells.

They crit seek by virtue of being multiple 1 point damage pellets that smear the target and so end up hitting exposed parts. They're terrible at actually doing damage with those crits, however, because each critical hit is based off of a damage source of 1 damage. :\
Now, if PGI used my LBX suggestion, they could be worthwhile as a competitive option to standard AC.....
