If this will happen - I'll quit, till it won't be removed. Lights became impudent to a point, where one Light openly attacks my WHOLE TEAM. If one light will be able to disable any other 'Mech - it will be complete garbage. Instead, PGI should return knockdowns, so one hit for Light = instant death.

CC is nothing new to MWO. There is also a pretty well establish means to having CC removed.

Wait. . . is this a whole thread complaining that flamers might do something? Wouldn't their short range make them easily countered by long range weapons. I can imagine that shutting down a laser vomit timby with a 6 flamer locust 1e would be hilarious, but how often you can accomplish that without getting instagibbed by the rest of the Opfor is questionable.

I'm sure PGI will miss your $100 a month lol.

Just want to address this statement. My expenditure should be valued in context. If this was WoT the loss of my expenditure would be the equivalent of losing 100 players. If this game achieved typical monetization of a F2P then my loss would need to be replaced by over 240 players.

So yes, I do think PGI will miss my spend.

No, I understood perfectly. You think by introducing crowd control weapon into the game, it will be less BT and more LoL, but you are wrong.

And by speaking you show that you are not keeping up. We will wait for you to catch up again. But this is the last time.

Where do these numbers come from? You're just making things up. Do you work for Fox News?

I really hate current game industry for one simple fact - good changes never come without bad ones. Is there secret conspiracy among game developers, that they should not make games better - they should follow some "Conservation of fun" law?

True. Knockdowns was such a success.

It is called the internet. It is where the forum exists. It takes effort but you can do a lot of research so that you can back up what you say, not just spout out opinions.

If we are implementing CC in this game, let's also implement speed decreasing effects, so Lights won't be so invulnerable. What useless weapons do we have? LBX?

Everything you have said is just YOUR opinion. You don't have any actual facts to back anything you say up. Nothing, nadda. I at the very least have experience in the gaming industry. You have "I've spent money, therefore I'm right." Say what you want, but more players like you quit the game everyday and the game is better for it.

Also it would be fair, if Flamers will overheat their owner too, so this game won't turn into troll-fest due to Flamer risking to overheat and being destroyed too.

Russ announced we will have crowd control via the use of flamers. Get ready for those 12-man flamer troll groups.

It is obvious the direction this game is headed. Russ wants this to be LoL with mechs. If this is what he believes will make the game viable, okay. Just come out and say it though. Stop pretending that this is a Battletech game.

I stopped pretending this was a battletech or even mechwarrior game when they made it easy for a light to down an assault mech in 1v1, barring a lucky AC/20 shot. That should have been the first indicator of LoL style play for you Ted Posted Image

I don't recall lights in MW2, MW3, etc being able to beat heavies or assaults all alone.

So what , you think you should automatically win cause your mech is heavier? Do you not comprehend how stupid that would be? How bad do you have to be that you cant kill lights?

It is indicative of what Russ wants this game to become, a FPS for the eSports crowd.

Considering I am not a fan of eSports, I'm going to disagree with you that suppression is an eSports thing. Or are you going to say mines are also an eSports thing?

This is not a war game. A war game requires context and this game is almost completely stripped of that.

But that's because, to the disdain of many others, much of the player base wants a game with the depth of "Rock 'Em Sock 'Em" robots and nothing more.

In short, the concern of crowd-control flamer lock-down is valid, yes, but the response was over the top, IMHO.

I say crowd control - also known as "suppression" - is a good thing.

Just a few comments (since you opened yourself to it):
  • I want poptarting to be once again more viable that it is now.
  • I'd rather have a simple random "matchmaker".
  • Moving to the latest CryEngine and DX12 is going to be a big time and money drain. I doubt PGI has the means to do so. For cryingng out loud, they can't even fix the Clan LBX.
  • Does anyone still use cockpit glass effects?

>Pop tarting shouldn't be a thing because not all mechs have JJ unless you're willing to add JJ to all mechs it's more harm than good. You can still pop tart now, but there is a trade off.
>I'd rather have random mm too
>Updating CryEngine will be the biggest fix of performance issues and even a chance to add new weapon system IS TECH 2 new crytools = new potential
>I use cockpit glass, anyone that claims they want immersion and doesn't run cockpit glass is hypocritical.

It might be the best thing that was ever removed from a video game.

I wouldn't go that far. Otherwise, I think anyone who wants immersion but thinks Clans should be organized in companies of 3 lances of 4 Mechs each are extremely hypocritical. Posted Image

The BT crowd are not the only people with money. The fallacy that the BT guys are the only ones spending money is played out and old. I've never touched a BT game outside of this one and could care less about the lore or immersion. Yet, I buy mech packs and MC. The BT crowd is slowly going away, but somehow MWO is growing and making more money than ever. Keep clutching to your Founder's tag like it means anything.

People want to shoot robots and blow stuff up, not get bogged down in your BT roleplay crap.

wow....this is....perfect
