I was reading about the CPLT variants on Sarna and found something that puzzles me. Am I missing something or is it impossible to fit 20DHS with an XL engine?

CPLT-K2K

A Dark Age upgrade to the K2 Catapult, the K2K model upgrades the engine to an extralight model. The twin PPCs have also been upgraded to two ER PPCs. The 'Mech also carries two ER Medium Lasers for close range firepower. To handle the added heat from the upgrades, the 'Mech uses 20 double heat sinks. Finally, the K2K model carries thirteen and a half tons of armor. BV (1.0) = 1,500[17], BV (2.0) = 1,716

It is possible. Especially if you count in the built in engine DHS as well s the Heatsinks you can add to the engine which take up no space
CPLT-K2

There are no ERML ingame for the IS, so I went with regular ML instead. There is even nearly 4 tons weight and space left over to to add more equipment.

To add to that, Im not even sure if the Dark age DHS even needed 3 slots. They might have been the same as the clan DHS (2 slots) by then, so it should have been even easier due to the possibility of placement in the legs. This may be somethign for one of the multiple lore buffs to answer though.

There's no mention of an engine rating increase so I assume it's an XL260, so no additional engine DHS.

I don't know anything about the dark age stuff so if DHS do take less tonnage then that must be the explanation.

it also doesnt say where the weapons are located. Here is one with the XL260 and 20 DHS. You just have to imagine the missing lasers in the arms (1 slot is left in either arm and there is enough tonage left to install them) or the CT.

CPLT-K2

EDIT: It works with the JESTER
