we're going to a blind vote. no gaming. no real difference from random except the illusion that you matter!

Accept we have doubled the player base with the addition of Steam according to the devs so there is very little reason not to bring it back, or at the very least partially. As for selfish I call bullsh*t on that because it is no more selfish than the players insisting on others playing all games modes so they can find a match 20 seconds faster.

So force people into game modes they don't want to play so they will have an incentive to quit you mean? Does that make more sense?

Players aren't demanding that, PGI is. Player population is still low, even after x2. your argument is invalid.

I say nope because you bring back in hard choices on mode voting and the chances of us ever getting new game modes are completely off the table.

No there are players demanding it including yourself by insisting it is selfish to want to play only the game modes you want to play. It worked fine previously only now we have even more players than ever so it will work better than before. I'm sorry but there is nothing invalid about my argument.

I say given their track record of creating crappy game modes I have little hope for the new ones being any better or worth the loss of my choice in game mode. If they want to modify it slightly I would be fine with that. For example an actual compromise would be to allow for people to exempt themselves from one of the three game modes instead of two, and as additional game modes are added you can increase the exemption list. Example with 5 game modes allow for 2 exemptions instead of one.

Have you guys never been to a public school? You play what all want, not all play what you want.
There shouldn't even be voting, just random mode and map for everyone.

Because we paid that public school to force us into games we didn't want to play, right? Because people in public schools have the option to stop participating entirely instead of wasting their time playing games they have no interest in, right? RIGHT???
There's no debate here. Forcing people into bad game modes is going to hurt the population in the long run. I know I already play a LOT less than I did before the voting patch, and many in my unit are playing less often as well.

Until I get 3 Skirmish games and it's "Nighty night!" for me.
Random game mode and map selection is the fairest solution.

PGI never blackmailed us into a voting system. The game was dying with long wait time and they needed to bunch up people together before the steam release. They can have the 4vs4 separated and the solaris(eSport) separated and CW separated but not quick play? yeah right. How long till 4v4 and cw is thrown into the mix of the public queue, how long till rather than making heavy class wait they make you chose 4 of each weight and you dont know which one youll play next game? This is just opening the door for them to take more liberties with your game time.
After saying all that ill add that ive made peace with the voting system and i dont care anymore. Last times i played i got plenty of conquest and assault, everybody bunchd up and played skirmish regardless and it got the job done and nobody cared because we all got to shoot each others face off and thats what matters.

Na, just the JACK A@@s that jump when they think they can minmax their vote count complain.
It will be a good thing. Tired of the last second jumps.
Vote for what you want. PERIOD.
If you get it great. If not, then suck it up and play the game.
A Blind vote has to happen.
Good on PGI for doing this.

I'm glad you like it, but my experiences with it have been pretty terrible. As for your your statement about it ensuring we get to play what we want a lot of the time is complete joke because I certainly am not, and I am not seeing anything remotely fair about it for anyone. Completely random would be slightly more tolerable than what we have and would be a great deal more fair than the nonsense we have now.

Except it's not about what "23" other's want. It's what the majority votes for. I don't know about you but I don't typically see a map/game mode getting even 80% of the votes. It's usually quite spread. And yeah, I know many, including myself work at elevating our multiplier in order to later on vote for or against something. But you'll be hard pressed to convince me every single other person is against whatever map I want/don't want as well as game mode. No way.
