I agree that knowledge is power, and without a working AI (shouldn't need one anyways

I really like this idea, have like a trainee program, were a rookie gets paired with a high ranked mentor. The mentor gets bonus LP for the trainee based on the trainee's preformance. The trainee and mentor get put on a private voice chat. And all the trainee has to do is click a button that says find a mentor, and it looks for a mission that has a mentor in the queue and pairs them with him

oh that's right, WoT does...and it's akin to having someone pull out your fingernails with a hot pliers.
Please give new people an area to play around in, and let's try to improve the ability of the pub matches to just above horrific.
Thanks!

Could allow for lances to practice as a unit without worrying about losing LPs or their 'Mechs.
Would also be a good place for people to test out new configurations without fear of losing their new 'Mech/weapons.

Most likely MechWarrior: Living Legend is the closest at this time you can get to experiencing what MWO will be like. Both animation wisely and also the effects and amount of stress on your OS.
Afaik for having an AI system, MWO would need to rewrite the cryengines AI system from scratch which isn't that straight forward. On top of that, the map creation process for a single player map is neither that easily accomplished. Its not like just choosing a Map and dumping the assets etc. via a dropdown menu as in MW4 iirc. You will need walkpathes, detection ratios and more needed to be set up, only for a single player map in mind, which cannot be changed once the map is exported.
Since its an online game, I would expect specific training servers set up where new members could develop their skills, with a live trainer. Or elsewhere the possibility to host your own local server to learn the game mechanics by.
