Lost control of my mech and became a UAV I could fly but not control my mech my team mates said it was running around in circles. I took a screenshot tried to paste it here but it won't work if someone from support sees this let me know how to add the pic.

Similar thing happened to me when I was disconnected from a CW match. When I rejoined, I was not able to get back into my mech--instead I could just act as a free roaming camera with no clip. I could spy on the enemy's every single move, which while advantageous, made my team operate at only 11 man strength.

lol, sounds like someones hack has broken something or PGI's gold class coding has done it job again.

it will be interesting to see if anyone gets mixed up in the bans for this happening to them, I would be concerned if my game data somehow showed i had ended up in a "free look" camera mode for any round, as it clearly has exploitative options for your team.

This happens to me once every 6,317 games. It has happened once.

Has happened to me once too. I got disco, rejoined and when I moved forward my mech stayed behind.
Have to say MWO looks 100 times cooler with mechs fighting, moving and manoeuvring when seen from above compared to seeing it from your cockpit.

Happened to me once, too. It was on Crimson Straights. Got a disconnect, reconnected, started to turn my mech - and my pilot went flying out the side of the mech?! I roamed around for awhile, getting a laugh out of the silliness, but that was about it.

Happened to me once, on old forest colony.

Looked cool, was hard figuring out how to control the camera movement.

Despite me telling my team exactly what the enemy was doing over Voip, we lost something like 4-12. Apparently, sometimes info isn't power, only more power is power.

Happened to me too in CW. Had to log out and back in again to fix it.

Pretty sure this is God's sense of irony, since the MW5 trailer actually made it look like we'd be able to control UAVs and see the battlefield directly from the UAV's point of view. Or perhaps it's something PGI experimented with a long time ago and the code is in the game, but not in use?

Nah, definitely God.

Ive seen demo vids where this is done intentionally. So Im sure it is intentionally in the coding, just obviously not meant to be accessed by us mere mortals.

Its not a hack, its a bug that sometimes puts people into spectator mode.

It happened once to me when I died on Canyon network, I went through the floor and could fly anywhere/see everything but couldn't communicate with my team.

I wonder if this bug is PGI's secret spectator mode that they occasionally use to spy on public games.

Its a bug that arises when there is a Disco while a dev is secretly spectating a game or a player in a match. Basically, when the player reconnects, he or she gets put into an open spectate port that the dev opened to spy on a player.

It's a bug, but it happens rarely involving the connection.

It's not a bug, it's a feature!
