This clarifications are full of faulty assumptions and that's what I'm trying to show.

They aren't assumptions, they are almost verbatim PGI's explanation

1. Start the match.
2. Ask if anyone has TAG or LRM
3. If you get noob abuse, you will probably lose
4. If no one says anything at al, you will probably lose
5. If people actually say Yes, or No, or heaven forbid, get more detailed, you have a good chance of winning

FTFY!

No davion calculation in the equation? must be inaccurate.

The count is total davions in the match for tier calculation purposes.

To predict your chances of winning... subtract all davions from both teams at the beginning of the match.

Example: Team A has 2 davions Team B has 5 davions

Team A now has 10 players
Team B now has 7 players

player advantage calculation below: add this number to 50%

1 = 7%
2 = 16%
3 = 31%
4 = 47%
5 = it's over

So, in the above example Team A has a 3 player advantage which gives us 31% + 50% = 81% chance of victory for team A

or another way to put it is there is only a 19% chance of victory for Team B

Hope this helps.

Hm...

If what you say is true, the easiest way to know if I'm going to lose is if I see "David Summers" on my team?

My favourite is this one:

"Alrighty guys whats the plan?"

(Silence) = Generally the go-to response on the Euro Server

or
"Kill people till they're dead"
or
"Not die" etc.

The more imbecilic the response the greater the lack of teamwork I find.

I would probably say ... just do 4 times better than your normal 200 damage. I know I was being VERY liberal with your damage, but I didnt want you to feel bad. Posted Image <hugz>

I tend to make this test with a little chat about bacon.

Remember, when you ask about bacon, any replies suggesting bacon IN anything or bacon-wrapped anything mean you'll lose. These players clearly don't understand the concept of not diluting the bacon.

A few of m y favourites are:

1.) The team doesn't rally towards an Assault lance friendly route.
2.) Friendly fire starts a flame war in the drop zone whether it's intentional or accidental.
3.) Several friendly mechs on the map screen aren't moving at all from spawn and the players weep bitterly when the enemy kills them after they come back from being afk. (This happened recently.I told the player not to go afk, and he said I was a "dumb ***.")
4.) People seem to be dumb-firing their LRMs on purpose when targets are available.
5.) A pilot on VOIP thinks he or she is trying to be a YouTube star with lengthy chatty BS that doesn't involve MWO (No one cares about your cat or what you are eating or anything to do with pop culture).
6.) Someone says "Uh oh, I forgot ammo for (specific weapon)" and especially when it's a mech which is based around a certain weapon type.
7.) Racist slang is spouted. (Thankfully rare for MWO)
8.) Anyone mentions Bernie Sanders. (Sadly not as rare as I would like)
9.) A player asks what the target key is.
10.) A pilot says "Let's go to the right everyone!" Another pilot says "What map coordinates?" And the first pilot asks "We have a map?"
