Gonna be honest. I'd have preferred the Extra MC so I can just grab what I want.

The extent to which people look for reasons to whine about this game and PGI's decisions never ceases to amaze me.

We've had back-to-back events and sales since before Christmas last year and there's at least 3 more big mech launch events coming in the near future. There's surely something for everyone on offer and droning on about how one particular event doesn't suit your personal tastes and needs is just petty.

God you people are negative... This is the only place I've seen people get so angry about getting goodies tacked on to money you were already going to spend!

Hell, I think it's great they've got some mastery packs and such on here, I might throw some money down on MC this sale, even though I'm not sure what I'll do with it yet

Personally, I wasn't planning to buy any more MC quite yet, but for a free Mech Bay and Trashcan cockpit item, I'll bite.

I've been looking at getting a mastery pack for a medium mech, so I think I'll get the MC pack with the Pirate's Bane. Any suggestions for which mastery pack I should get?

Depends on your playstyle.... Personally, I'm a fan of Centurians and Blackjacks....

I play support most of the time. I enjoy attacking from a distance or from the middle of the group rather than getting in the enemy's face and brawling. I have the Enforcers from the Resistance pack and I really like those, the CN9-AH they gave away a while back which isn't my favorite mech, and I used to have a Shadow Hawk but I liked that less than the Centurion.

I bit on the Spider Mastery. I wasn't really looking at that, but it seems like a pretty good deal (I was thinking Jenner, but as much as I like the ACH, maybe this will be comparable for those IS faction drops).

P.S. After playing a bit the spider hero sux. But they are fast, just nothing close to as fun as my 6 SL ACH-Prime. So, fine considering free. Just still bummed I bought 49.99 MC last week...snarl. Could have gotten Jenner.

You've got to be an entitled , miserable , brat , to complain about extra freebies in constant specials running in a game.

Fallacy. No one was already going to spend it. Are you a mind reader? I mean, I even pointed out that I wasn't spending on it, but obviously I must be lying to myself and actually going to spend money anyway.

That's not entitlement. Entitlement would be DDoSing PGi because you don't like it. People have the right to voice their opinion on what is and is not bad deal.

The Anansi (red and white one) is actually the worst spider there is haha. But I do love my Spider Mastery pack for the other three!

A pair of AC/5s and some LRM5s works pretty well for long range fire support. I love my YLW for running around with an AC/20, but the higher engine cap in the Enforcer lets it do that slightly better. My CN9-A(C) has an AC/10, 2ML, and 3LRM5, making it pretty effective at most ranges...

So the forums have historically hated on the Dragons (notable exception being the 1N pre-last nerf/buff pass). So naturally I have always wanted to play them but could just never convince myself to give em a try. Now that my beloved Quickdraws are "so meta" I think the time is right to get a set of "free" Dragons. Thanks PGI (now to just remember to wait until the 18th to buy MC).

Build suggestions are welcome.

I bit on the spider mastery too, the Hero is kind of meh but the other two are fabulous. I already have a stash of Jenners (Sarah, Oxide) so that didn't hold as much appeal to me. The oxide is one of my favorite mechs.

Hunchback mastery pack Grid Iron comes with a gauss rifle by default but I've had some pretty good times with ripping it out and putting double UAC5 in there instead. The -SP comes with srms by default but nothing's stopping you from replacing them with lrms instead. The -4P(C) is still a medium laser brawler but I'm sure you can swap them for bigger and rangier lasers if you prefer.
Also, I wasn't interested in this at all until I realised how solid the champion Enforcer is. On a topical note, guess who has a new champion Enforcer?

Great sale pgi. I wanted to get a second locust pb and the deaths knell. So I waited and cashed in to get the free commando, and bought a second pb. For those who will buy Mc, a lot of these are good deals. This and the 20% more are my favorite Mc sales. Look at what you want and plan ahead still two rounds in this sale.
