You know the one. You're having a really crap run of games with sub-200 damage/2 assists/etc, so you pull out the mech that you barely even have to try to win, let alone score well with. Mine is my Quad PPC WHK-Prime for when I absolutely need CBills or KMDDs for a challenge.

Back in the poptart days it used to be my TBR with 2 CERPPC + 3 CERML.
For the laser vomit pre-Dec patch it was EBJ with 2 CLPL + 4 CERML.
Currently it's the BJ-3 with 3 LPL.

Since I usually am trying to basic new mechs, crappy variants, or just like to play Awesomes, Hunchies, Commandos and Locusts....basically anything close to a meta mech works.

When I pull out my Timberwolves or anything laservomit I feel like I just hit a "easier mode" button

Timber usually. I can get almost as good performance out of my IS mechs most days, but when I hit a slump, or have been leveling mechs and tier is sliding, Timby is the surefire way to fix it. No matter what else they add to this game, they still haven't made the Timber not my best mech yet, it's still an easy button, and I kinda hope that never changes.

MASC isn't a problem for me. I love it to death.
Where do you place your gauss rifle? If you put it on the high mount, you lose all your guns if it explodes which is why I opt for the dual LPL+Gauss build with the gauss in the hand..

JM6-"Dakka Dakka" with 6 AC/2's. It's not a great mech but it can dish out enough damage and DPS for a couple of KMDD per game.

That or the Atlas-S with a typical AC/20 + 4x SRM6 build. Started using that just a few weeks ago and wow! I just fell in love with that thing.

My KGC-000B is like a reliable old pickup truck: it may not be the most spectacular thing out there, but it'll get the job done when you need it to. You can't go wrong with a whole lotta dakka.

Mauler IS side, that thing is beastly. It definitely lives up to its name most games.

Clan side I'm not too sure lately. Used to be my Timber or DWF. Well OK, I guess DWF still, but I haven't run my Timber in forever.
