IF we had the actual ability to bid forces then maybe but Zellbrigen, bidding and all that isnt in game either.


Zellbrigen is a great balancing mechanic honestly but i dont see it working well in a FPS without RNGjesus having his hands in it. Random hits and all that makes UP IS Mechs actually have a chance.

That eventually should be ingame. In some bright future.

But for now, simplifying by making x2 multiplier for Clan mechs tonnage when filling your tonnage limited deck, will work if Clan mechs will have lore-level overpoweredness.

No it wont, breaks solo queue.

I dont see an answer to that with your system.

Using Lore level Overpoweredness requires the IS to have 3.5 Starleague era Mechs for every Clan mech, and also requires Clan pilots to play by the rules of Zellbriggen.

Sorry, not gonna happen.

I'm sorry (but actually, I'm not :P ), no version of asymmetrical teams will ever be viable.

Not 10v12, not12v6, not 2*12v12, not tonnage-based asymmetry, not cost-based asymmetry, not BV-based asymmetry.

By definition, they all pose the problem that something has to be inferior. Some of these pose the additional problem of being completely arbitrary and therefore not actually balanced at all. Some also pose that problem that they open the door for a whole range of further imbalance complaints.

Real-world, in this format and media, 1:1 is the only way that is viable from both gameplay and business standpoints.
