As I do the mech bay tour before CW 3 I find a lot of others doing the same and it occurs to me it would be good to know what factions are like what before you go. So here's a chance for people to talk up what their faction offers that makes it a good stop for traveling players.

1. How many active fronts do you have and how active are they?

2. How segregated are your pugs and units? If someone comes there to pug or play with a small group will they be dropping with 11 solos or are their regularly sub-12man units to fill in with who will call the drop?

3. Do you have a teamspeak people can go to and coordinate in?

4. How coordinated is your faction? Do you have regular borders people group up on? Does your faction typically call drops even with pugs? Do you have general strategies and decks you use?

Here's a chance to see how you stack up. Pimp your faction in public and show us she's worth the cbills!

Sandpit would make a better speaker for House Marik but I'll just drop a few words beforehand.

1. House Marik currently has two active fronts against their neighbors. Main front pushing against Davion held worlds (successfully, I might add), and a secondary front against the Steiners, for skirmishing purpose only, not conquest. We also butted heads with House Liao over border dispute and House Kurita for the control of the Terran corridor, and managed to beat them into non-aggression while holding onto our gains. Of course, many Marik players also spend time dealing with Clan incursion by helping out the norther Houses.

2. Unlike our opponents and neighbors, the House Marik does not have one main unit per faction (such as HHoD for House Davion, and TCAF for House Liao). Our population is more decentralized among many units, with different qualities and numbers. Therefore, should one drop with us, he/she will be dropping with regularly sub-12 man group made up from different units. Call dropping is usually done by bigger unit members such as SRPH, MGA, and 1FWG, though should others volunteer for the job, everyone else is pretty chill with that.

3. House Marik TS can be accessed here at the House Marik site. Registering in the site makes it easier for individual players to join House Marik units. Always good to have more people on TS. http://housemarik.enjin.com

4. House Marik is coordinated by a council made up of important units' leaders. Most of the time, the pugs of our House are busy containing the Clans near their invasion corridors, but plenty of people also try to take worlds from the Davions on daily basis. Call dropping happen often, so pugs will have directions to go. As for general strategies and decks, House Marik tries to turn its decentralized command structure into an asset by teaching pugs they drop with about CW maps, mech loadouts and tactics. This is done in order to raise the average skill rating of our pugs, unlike other Houses where they leave the serious fighting to 12 man team from big units alone.

So if you wish to pug in CW with plenty of action, and without being yelled at by tryhards, then House Marik just might be what you are looking for. Also, House Marik is not known for having units notable for being jerkbags, on chat or the mike. We are pretty chill. Posted Image

The Free Rasalhague Republic is ascendant.

1. Our Clan front is constantly shifting as new lanes open and close, but at any given time we are fighting at least 2 clans and usually more. Our IS fronts are usually sleepy mostly due to population restrictions.

2. All loyal members of the FRR are encouraged to drop on the FRR hub where they will find welcoming inter-mixed CW Long Ships preparing to set sail and take the fight to our many enemies.

3. The FRR Hub is the home and capital of the FRR. It is strongly advised that all mercs and loyalists dropping in FRR territory head over there.

4. We are quite organized and only getting more so. The Royal KungsArme runs the FRR Hub and is made up of most FRR Loyalist units. They are also getting more and more organized all the time.

Bandito said it better than I could :P

Pretty much answered all of the OP's info. I would just like to add that there's no unit commit required for dropping on our TS either. Obviously you have to be Marik to drop in CW with us, but other than that, nothing is required.

If you find a unit you like, join them, if not, just be a "solo" Marik pilot. Drop with, when, and how you can. We've had guys dropping in their first match ever join us for CW drops and had a blast so there's no required mechs, builds, deck compositions, etc.

There's almost always a unit rep or leader or admin on if you have any questions or tech difficulties.

All players are welcome in the quickplay channels regardless of unit or faction affiliation. We might give you some ribbing if you're a clanner or Liao, but it's all in good fun. Just jump into a public channel and ask who the group lead is and then just ask for an invite :D

Plus Bandito, as everyone else always does, forgot to mention Free Bacon Fridays.
(they always forget the bacon)

I think in the FRR we need a saying. "FRR has no pugs. We have unit member's in training" Since we're more organized than most.

I am a Mercenary, and my Faction is "Clan C of House Bill"....I love all Clans / Factions with an active fighting front. Right now you can find me fighting for CSJ with active boarders on the Steiner, FRR, and Kurita fronts.

I have much <3 and o7 for FRR who is currently fighting on all 4 Clan fronts, and if given the choice of Houses in the IS to fight for FRR pilots would be my choice for teammates.

Nobody from Liao, Davion, Steiner here? No Clan loyalists willing to sing the praises of their side here? I'm surprised.

Even they won't try to convince us they're cool :P
