You must not have checked my post history, because you made a bad assumption about me... I've actually been keeping in mind a post from mikerso with useful build information, and I even hollered out a thanks to him in another post later on. All I need to do now is build up some spare C-Bills to use, and I'll be able to experiment with it.
BTW, I'm no troll, but I definitely don't play like what apparently has been put forth to me as the general kind of player in MWO, the "One-Man-Army Brawler". I'm a support/sniper type of player, and I have already been trying my best to learn even from my losses. Although it's damn hard to when you duck behind a corner, think the enemy team is at least a good 800m-1.2 km away, then suddenly feel like the server decided to end you because it seems like 6 enemy mechs were all hack-warped on top of your position, and you get torn apart in 3 seconds flat in a Medium-class Mech. Heck, and I thought I had come up with a nice 3 ERLL 'Snipercada'... Back to the drawing board.
BTW, even back when I used to play MW2&3, I'm guessing that I didn't do well with either speed or brawling. Now with MWO, I'm wondering if I just don't have enough computer for MWO @ 40 fps minimum, although it seems like 55-60 fps is a needed minimum to play right. Sitting on an AMD FX-4300 pseudo-quad-core, NVidia GT 440, 8 GB RAM and Win 7 here. And I even ran the graphics all the way down to just above program-crashes-itself-due-to-being-set-too-low levels.

I didn't make a bad assumption, I was remembering your rant from the Warhammer Event:

Worse, if I show my build info here for everything I have... ISN'T THAT GOING TO GET ME KILLED LIKE A "HITTING PUPPY" ON THE BATTLEFIELD?!?!?!?

I'm not trying to completely bust your chops. The community here is pretty good if you need help and there's a post in the new player forum on advice for getting KMDD. If you don't get the advice you need on there, you can always post and ask something like "here are the mechs I have, here are the builds I am using, these are the tactics I'm using, any advice? etc" It will get you a lot further than the whiny "It's everybody else's fault for all my problems" posts you have been making. You will get a lot more respect, enjoy the game more, and maybe even make a few friends along the way.

As for the person who mentioned too many "vets stuck in lower tiers", that's a load of BS. If there's players "stuck" in a low tier who have been playing a long time, then that's where they belong. You actually move quite quickly upward once you start getting better/piloting clan mechs. Even short of clan, you can still play IS meta and it's almost as fast, just a little more work. If you aren't piloting meta because you choose not to, and are stuck, then that's where you should be, and you should probably accept that and enjoy it. If you want more, you have to either take the easy route and use good mechs, or work a lot harder for it and develop serious skills.
Also, FPS is not an excuse. I get an average of 20-35 FPS, on good to great days, but have played with sub 20 for months on end, and got to Tier 2 like that, so if having a poorly optimized rig was a bar to doing well in this game, I'd be back in Tier 5.
Just enjoy the fact that we got a decent event with no major bugs or reasons for everyone to play like idiots, PGI is getting the hang of this one thing, at least.

Its easier to perform in the low tiers(4/5) then high tiers. Most of my unit members who are still in the lower tiers are carving it up in the leader boards.

Uhm... wrong. Inner Sphere weapons doors are screwed up right now. Go look under Patch Feedback for the current patch. If you still don't believe it, try to pilot a Catapult such as the CPLT-A1(C) Trial Mech in Live Combat. Make sure to check the Weapons Doors in both Closed and Open states. PGI's got something to fix right now.

Easy to finish, could not see much bad gameplay because of the well chosen goals was different in the past) , nice rewards and does not kill a whole weekend.
All in all, perfect!
Keep on in this way!!!

You mean like ... Match Score, Cbill Earning or XP that do pretty much exactly that and which also were part of the event?

I was able to finish the Personal Challenges, but only barely during other MechWarriors' off-hours. Unfortunately, the other MechWarrior that I was worried about came within just a few KMDD, but didn't have enough time like I had already calculated ahead of time. I still think PGI made this event a day too short, but I can always hope they provide a little more time with the next event. May they also keep serving up MC as part of the rewards as well, because I really appreciate when they do that for their F2P crowd. Every little bit they're willing to allow us F2P to get helps.
Sadly, a third MechWarrior (who uses the same PC as myself and that second one) has been sucked away by an MMORPG by the name of RuneScape. I hate that MMORPG for all the hell it gave me, and for letting myself get sucked in by its' allure in the distant past. But to see someone I know IRL get pulled away at the moment from this far better MMOFPS/MMOTPS/MMORTS (Like, which one DOES it fall into anyway?) of MechWarrior Online by that piece of junk is devastating. Frankly, if there wasn't a "No Name&Shame" Rule on both games, I might actually consider mentioning the user's name here just so the rest of you could hunt them into coming back to our happy home of MechWarrior Online. Oh well...
Better luck next event, everyone, especially to those who didn't succeed here. I'll be looking for anyone the MatchMaker throws my way out on the battlefield, so don't try to play while half-asleep.

[Edit: (p.s.: BTW, I know I'm being a little rant-ish with my post here... I'll probably be a tad more cooled with the next event.)]

Actually.. yes!. Those other parts were all right.. You know.. pure KMDD is a very hard rule. You have it or not... the others were more flexible.. It is almost sure, that in a few matches you will have a Win or an Assists.. someway.. But, you can have 10 matches in a row, when your KMDD counter doesn't move (for various reasons).. And that's frustrating and boring.. If there were any addition to KMDD counter, even a very small one (0,5% / match.. or whatever).. it would be more funnier and not so frustrating..
