Actually.. yes!. Those other parts were all right.. You know.. pure KMDD is a very hard rule. You have it or not... the others were more flexible.. It is almost sure, that in a few matches you will have a Win or an Assists.. someway.. But, you can have 10 matches in a row, when your KMDD counter doesn't move (for various reasons).. And that's frustrating and boring.. If there were any addition to KMDD counter, even a very small one (0,5% / match.. or whatever).. it would be more funnier and not so frustrating..

It's just a goal in just a game.
Some you reach, some you don't. What's the sense behind some "everyone can reach it, no matter what how he plays" goals?

I can see a solution... Have goals for BOTH the "KMDD" and the "Killing Blow". Just having one or the other doesn't really facilitate Team Play. Heck, add a goal for "Component Destroyed" while they're at it, seeing as they didn't cover enough aspects of a round. Posted Image

They didn't cover the "log into the game", the "have the client installed" and the "have read the name piranha games international at least once" goal as well.

You can't please everyone.

And btw. it took me a while but I had no real problem with the KMD-goal, using the rfl lk (no lrms !?! But lb10x ;) )

Greetings

Didn't get in the top 100, but did all elite skills on all my RFLs,
and I really had some fun,
and got some free stuff in the personal event.
What more can you ask for?

Greetings

Narrowly missed out on the top 75 (80th) after playing only about a dozen matches in my RIfleman 3C (including maybe 2-3 poor results). First match after the challenge is over...

Lol that would've bumped me up the ranks a bit. Into the 40s most likely. Bah Posted Image Still had fun of course. And I don't need another Solaris medal that badly ;)

Well, I believe that there are always some goals that are easier to achieve with certain playstyles and mechs than with others.

I only meet the goals for the criteria so quickly because I play a variety of mechs and playstyles.

KMDD is easiest for me in an assault mech. In the Atlas there are few games where I go out with less than 3 KMDDs. And those games where I don't meet it it's because I was the first in a push and got focused down.

Assists however are hard to come by in that Atlas. If there's more than 2 or 3 I probably didn't focus my fire right. These are REALLY easy to come by in my Spiders however. Anything less than 5 is really unusual.

Damage dealt on the other hand is also easily achieved in LRM-Boats (at least in Tier 4), which right now means the Trial Catapult for me.

And wins, XP and Cbills just happen to accumulate over time.

KMDD certainly has its place as a metric in the game. Focusing down one mech that you choose as your target is an important skill in this game and KMDD is a decent reflection of seeing the results of that skill. If you focus a mech down to take it down as quickly as possible, it is more likely to earn you the KMDD than just spreading your damage around at targets of opportunity which earn you assists more easily (so what usually happens when Sniping, LRM-supporting or Squirreling in a light).

I think the various scoring systems do a good job of incentivizing team play and win-oriented strategies. And the events subtly encourage trying out different playstyles to get you out of your comfort zone and see that there are other fun ways to enjoy the game.

23rd in a stock Legend Killer, and topped out at 5th a few times. Needless to say, I am really enjoying the Rifleman.

If my recent hot streak keeps going, I'll catch up to you next time :D Nice results though you guys, showing people this chassis is still pretty capable, even if they didn't like the look of the quirks.

Just gotta remember to play for more than a couple hours total if I want to place... working a bunch of overtime and getting sick is no excuse for not playing video games on a Sunday when there's no football on, lol Posted Image
