As of the new patch I've been unable to Alt+Tab out of the game while in Fullscreen mode.

I was able to work around this by switching to Full WIndowed Mode.

In the Mechbay you can use the "Statistic Button" to "Tab out".

Uhm... has ANYONE tried "Alt+Enter", followed by "Esc" (or "Escape") to release the mouse cursor??? Posted Image

EDIT : BTW, PGI doesn't allow the mouse cursor to release properly while a map is showing the "Loading" screen. Never attempt it during that time. Personally, I think they should only be trying to grab it when their application is focused, not any other time. Posted Image

Double Alt+Tab out of the window releases the cursor. But this rises chances for a chrash the moment you see ready screen.

Yeah, I switched to full window mode when UI 2.0 came out and have never looked backed. Full screen just caused too many issues

Full Window doesn't work for me, I don't run the game at native resolution and it looks hideous in Full Window mode.

Anyway, I find that you need another program open to alt+tab to, or it doesn't work. And yes, alt+tab during the map load screen does mess stuff up. Often forcing relaunch of the client (and needing to rejoin).

Yes i have this issue also. The only workaround I have been able to successfully achieve is to open my windows folder. Then load the MWO client. And any time i ALT+TAB it opens to the windows folder (or any folder you have open in the background be it windows, Task Manager, Team Speak client, etc).

Anytime I have nothing open in the back ground I am entirely unable to ALT+TAB to my desktop.

Good thing Alt+Enter works to toggle FullScreen, eh? :)
