WHM-6D and Black Widow keeps its 15% Energy Range quirks.

I'm sure that passed QA with flying colors.

Spreadsheet needs fixing.

Building list from smurfy:
WHM-6D
Black Widow
RVN-4X
ZEU-9S
HGN-733P

This music is appropriate for the discovery presented in this thread.

The applicable part starts at 0:30

(no, I wasn't just looking for an excuse to post Star Control 2 music, one of the greatest games ever made but... well... whenever I see something nuts, Spathi music always comes to mind.)

Douches come from all walks of life...

He is not a "Clan Douche" i can assure you. He does however like accountability and accuracy, cant say i blame him there.

If you ever work with tech, especially online tech, there will always be mistakes.

The worst thing is companies become very scared of saying anything, because it will be held against them. This is hopefully the reason Russ uses Tweets, because they can put aside as discussions not official info as would the web site.

That aside, this is kinda of an obvious overlook, but is is only 5%.

Raven-4X still has 30% energy range FYI.

Is their problem understanding what all means(as in all IS laser range quirks are capped at 10%), or is it understanding what consistency is?

vlookup, pivot tables, and filters would've ensured no mistakes were made. PGI may want to include a basic excel test when hiring game developers.

So there's like... FIVE 'mechs out of the hundreds that still have generic energy range bonuses greater than 10% and we're sharpening the points on our pitchforks and oiling up our torches?

Is that what I'm reading here?

The end of all Clan OP'ness ends with those 5 individual 'mechs, and now Clan 'easy mode' players won't be able to win any more if any ONE of those 'mechs shows up on the battlefield?

Is that what I'm really reading here?

<sigh>

Paul, this is why you need to ignore the crap out of the Clanners... They have no sense of perspective...

I'm not sure if you've been paying attention.

I simply have a Clan contract (it doesn't mean I'm pro or anti Clan). Perma-GB until Phase 3 (going back to Kurita on a perma-IS contract, hopefully).

If you say "this is what I'll do to everything" and actually do it only to some of them, well, that's a problem.

It's just simple logic.

Also, searching and finding text in the XML isn't hard to do (unless it is deemed Lostech again).

Are quirks not still in the .cdf files? The main problem it seems is they are doing this by hand rather than doing a search and replace across files.

You've not been paying attention for the past few years then... Paul typically gets the details wrong.

To react like it's some major criminal negligence is just way over the top.

The Raven 4x is the bad boy there.

That thing is a stone cold killer of a sniper at 35 tons. With those range quirks and fast fire and short burn time it's the best light sniper in the game by a long stretch.

To be honest, PGI should ignore everyone who's asking for 8v12 and 10v12 so they can have their Lore OP ClanTech. But, I know that is not the case here, and I also didn't specify "Clanners" (since Lorebangers from both ends of the Sphere have asked for that crap).

There are many Clanners who do this, and Spheroids who do that. Lumping them together is probably not good for anyone's argument.
