It's not as bad as some of the previous victims, but it's still worse than the original model in most cases. The idea of 'first, do no harm' should apply to geometry updates.

I believe they've got some of their newer guys doing geo passes. I get that folks gotta learn, but for the guys working on these 'mech models - the players care. About every polygon and pixel and blocked missile tube. If we got what we wanted, the updated dynamic geometry on these 'mechs would make them look better, every time.

Stalker was the best IS missile boat because it could exploit the nose tubes. I suspect this is why the stalker has been mutilated. Honestly it should have just been left alone, it was one of those things that shouldnt have been in the game but somehow worked anyway. A very long time ago i reported the hunchback sp for its 6 tubes and soon after PGI replaced them with 10s. I knew then that they had no idea so i kept very quiet about the stalker... dreading that this day would come. This is a sad day

Russ said one day someone is starting to work on the NVA rescale.
Another day he said on twiterr such rescales take a day.

Yet we have not seen any results, so either PGI days tke a lot longer (are they above arctic cyycle?).

But all of this makes me fear the result of what the NVA will look like after the rescale.

Looks like the artist fixed the diffuse texture, but left the old normal map in place. Dunno why, could've probably just edited the normal map in Photoshop (generally a bad idea, but in this case should work out) instead of baking the normal map again.

Dynamic Weapon Geometry.

Nothing wrong with that, well, more so had it been accomished a bit better in dome spots.

how is anyone surprised, every single mech that has been bad-touched by the geometry pass looks like sh*t.
Which is a shame cause the mechs ultimately look pretty awesome in this game. But they are systematically screwing this over, 1 mech at a time
