Clearly the only solution to all the flamer whining is a new weapon system.
The Fire Hose!
Not sure what hardpoint it would occupy, but it would be the ultimate support weapon. Lights and mediums could spray down their laser alpha heavies and assaults for ultimate cooling power. You could refill the ammo by walking into deep water on certain maps. Spray into the face of your enemies to disrupt their vision since PGI nerfed the blinding effect of flamers. Windshield wiper module would count is tactic.
You could even make a true Die Whale.

The Fluid Gun actually exists in BT.

It's classified as "ballistic." 2 tons, 2 slots, 90m max range.

Well they won't give us crouching so we can properly Mech-Bag a fallen opponent, so this would be the next best thing

Fun fact: Fluid guns have a wide variety of ammo options, including fun stuff like sensor-obscuring paint, acid, coolant, and of course lubricants.
The last of which works nicely with flamers if you want burning oil slicks.

I would be far more inclined to use flamers if they were able to start environmental fires that created temporary hot spots on the map. Of course I doubt it'd happen because of all the people playing on low-end machines that would literally burst into flames if they had to render any dynamic smoke and flame effects like that.
