Actually, it's closer to almost a full decade. But it's skilled use of the classics that really makes one a master.

For example, the first your mom joke was written on a clay tablet in ancient Babylon some 3500 years ago, but didn't really come into its own until Shakespeare's tragedy Titus Andronicus which is a fantastic play that I think would be far more fun for high school freshman to be forced to read that Romeo and Juliet which really, was just The Bard making an easy cash grab by writing about emo teenagers.
