Um... you do realize that they are just fixing acceleration, deceleration and turn rate quirks right?
Your mech's top speed is not changed.
I realize you didn't understand my post. I wasn't talking about top speed. I meant: LRM's seemed to "dive-in" when hiding into a cover, especially when peeking. That was caused by lack of boost from mobility quirks.

When the reward injection occurred, it injected no 6.5 Million but 65 Million C-Bills each for a total of 130 Million C-Bills. Not being a dishonest person I sent the following email to support:

Good evening,
I waited until today to purchase to separate 12,000 MC purchases to that I would obtain the C-Bill package that went along with it.
The chart shows that you get a 6.5 Million C-Bill bundle with the $49.95 12,000 MC purchase. When I just logged into the game and it redeemed my reward, it redeem two 65 Million C-Bill amounts.
It gave me 130 Million C-Bills instead of 13 Million. Now while I’d be thrilled to accept such a generous amount I don’t think that was intended. It wasn’t my doing or anything, I just purchased the two MC packages.
Maybe there’s a reward for being honest?
Thanks

Greetings MechWarrior,
You are receiving this e-mail because you recently purchased the $49.95/12,000 MC pack during the final stage of our ‘Sweet Deals 2’ sales event. An error in our reward injection system for this specific tier and stage of the ‘Sweet Deals 2’ sale event resulted in your account being provided with 65,000,000 bonus C-Bills as a result of your MC pack purchase, instead of the intended 6,500,000 C-Bills listed in the event details.
Most or all of the bonus C-Bills received from this error had already been spent in your account by the time our database compensated for the error. That database action resulted in your C-Bill balance being placed into a negative amount.
A negative C-Bill balance prevents you from being able to make any modifications in MechLab, and will also affect your ability to sell Inventory items in-game.
However, during the downtime scheduled later today for 2PM PST/10PM UTC (February 22nd) we will be setting your C-Bill balance to an even 0, and there will be no penalties applied to your account whatsoever as a result of spending the inflated amount of C-Bills received as a result of the error.
You will also be able to keep any and all items purchased using that inflated C-Bill reward! This was our error, and we greatly appreciate your support.
We apologize for any inconvenience the negative C-Bill balance may cause, until the issue is resolved later today.

I didn't spend one single C-Bill. Now it does appear that my account is now at the correct amount. I have the 13 Million C-Bills I should have gotten. What really bothers me is that the dishonest people profited from it. They spent "most or all of the bonus C-Bills received from the error".
Clearly that was a mass mailed email to everyone this happened to.
So the dishonest people got lots of stuff. The honest people get the peace and solace of knowing they did the right thing. No good deed goes unpunished.

If people knew they didn't work, there'd have been folks up in arms. But what happened was they stopped working with the rebalance (when they were distributed about) at the same time as the agility nerfs happened, so we all just figured that was that.
What's funny is that my Mad Dog just got massive agility quirks, and I was pretty shocked that it wasn't very noticable. i just moved on, figuring that I just hadn't been paying close enough attention. I can't wait for it to be all squirrelly and whatnot.
Well, I reported it. My limited playtime around the holidays left me a little off on my timelines, but I knew it was borked:
http://mwomercs.com/...twist-rate-bug/
now, I hadn;t noticed the accel/decel, but my ping fluctuates immensly and honestly if I do some poking now and then, I chalk any wierdness up to lag.
I must admit I never thought it could be something as basic as non-functioning quirks though.

If the game allowed you to donate C Bills to other Players it would be great....
I WOULD GLADLY TAKE YOUR 65,000,000 C BILLS OFF YOUR HANDS IF IT BOTHERED YOU. Soooooo PGI made a mistake and gave out too many C-Bills....I don't think they really care or will waste time ......BECAUSE C-BILLS IS NOT REAL MONEY......ITS LIKE MONOPOLY MONEY CAN ONLY BE USED FOR THAT PARTICULAR GAME. Heck if they game me 1 billion C-Bills....I will buy all the modules I can get my hands on, MECHS, and etc. Then I will THANK PGI for being an AWESOME game developer.
For those who are "dishonest"....you got a good deal and FTMWOW. You guys don't deserved to be looked down upon because it wasn't your fault that someone added another zero to the rewards.
PS....we still need a 16 weapon Atlas.....machineguns or OLD FLAMER WW2 style

Agreed. I spend double XP weekend leveling Ravens and Grasshoppers for league play. Would have made things a lot smoother, and cause me a lot less frustration. Considering that blanket energy range nerf, making me feel like I spent a lot of wasted time.

I'm not looking down upon anyone that exploited it. That's not what I was saying. When game devs make something exploitable, someone will exploit it. I knew as soon as it happened that it was a mistake. I could have spent the money, I didn't. Now if someone else thought "Oh well, their mistake.." and spent it...that was their judgment call. It's not my place to judge, so I apologize if it came across that way.

By the way, could you un-nerf them? lol...surely the bulk of steam players have gotten skilled enough at the game to be able to handle it...
But yeah, thanks for the fix pgi!

My Boar's Head has never felt better. Its a real treat to pilot and I (almost) don't have buyers remorse anymore for buying it at full price on release + the cost of a mechbay.

The usual problem with PGI then.... balancing 2 sides of a scale and wondering why it doesnt work like it is supposed to. Had they rebalanced only the skilltrees without simultaneously adding quirks, players would have either learned to live with it or complained that Mech X is too sluggish. Then they could have added quirks and immediately found out that they made no difference.
This way is just haphazardly fixing something they never bothered to test because of making too many changes at once and once again leaving it to the players to figure out there is actually a problem with what they stated they had added and what was live ingame.
Its good that PGI are actually fixing things, dont get me wrong... I just wished they would at some time start to balance things logically instead of skipping vital steps.

I leveled up 3 Thunderbolts in december. 2 without accel/decel quirks. 1 with quirks (Top Dog). The Top Dog was definately more responsive.
Any of you guys understand which specific mechs were affected by the error?
