I was getting Fbombed and threatened w/ TKing at the beginning of matches last night in Puglandia because I was using a LRM boat.

MWO was my first MMO besides DDO (where everyone is nice and polite) and it was quite an eye opener for me.

I was astounded at the rudeness and profanities used during matches to the point that it made the game a chore to play.

As time passed I gave up caring about it and the game magically became fun.

Now I just feel pity for people who get so worked up over a game and lack the self control to not rant at people who arent going to listen to them anyway.

Yes, pug groups are frustrating. Especially in Faction Play right now on the IS side. I myself have been in 41 matches now with only 2 wins... 39 of those were not just losses...but absolute beat downs on our team that seems to play more like a quick match than an organized assault/defense. Yep.... I expect that considering my unit is not active in faction play and hasn't renewed the contract so I can play... I left. So, I make the best of every match...

But.... there are those who are good players and in units... who play regardless if their unit is on or not. They too end up in the scatter matches... They should expect a bad match and deal with it.... but instead....especially this weekend... I have listened to more stressed out and flipping out players on comms dropping F-Bombs on other players...most of which are new players. These people are so angry about losing that they give a bad image to those new players trying to figure out what in the world this game is about...

It is a nice feature to be able to mute.... but seriously guys.... If you are flipping out that hard maybe you need to shut down the rig for an hour or so and chill out (or take your medication). If you could hear yourself on comms you would say to yourself "Man, I really sound like a 2 year old throwing a tantrum about nothing". ....and you do to the rest of us.

So...stop dropping your F-Bombs on other players and screaming into your mic because some aren't as good as you. You aren't playing for a million dollars....you are playing for fun.

I guess that fly out that came up in the beginning, as people entered the CW map, saying that if you were not an experienced mechwarrior this mode isnt for you was just gibberish to huh?

That mode isnt for newbies and it sucks PGI just lets em in. Find a group if you wanna win in CW because other wise it SUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS!


Is there a Steiner TS hub you can use? At least? To keep you from falling into these same pit falls with 2 year old and people who cant drive their mechs?

I say its JUST A GAME when I hear people kicking their dog and yelling at their wife and kids OVER A GAME! That is when i say "Its just a game", not because you are bad and need excuses. You are really reaching with that statement me thinks, i never heard anyone say "im bad and it just a game" most of us know that. Its the ones who are contemplating running their truck into the side of a house because they lost 3 times in a row....they need to remember it just a game.

He implied people would hurt those around them in a fit of rage induced by another player's incompetency, which is false.
