In other thoughts, it's likely we see not one but two potential NARC-quirk-friendly chassis here, with the less specialized one being the -5S. Depending on tube count in the arms, it reminds me of an oversized Kintaro in terms of potential builds. You could do 5x5 and still pack a respectable amount of energy weaponry on it, and the Archer CT mounts mean you can build it with a standard engine and basically keep fighting until you're a CT-cored donut.

The -2R confuses me, though. A 'Mech with stock LRM 20's with only a single missile hardpoint in one torso, but two in the other?

There will QQ if it is a good Lurm boat. Of course there will be QQ if it is a bad Lurm boat.

Hopefully it hits the sweet spot of being good enough to please the Lurmers but no so good that people think the sky is falling.
