There have been quite a few changes and even new game modes. Ignore the salty ones who say it's the same game with more mechs as they can't be bothered to give an honest response. Or are simply forgetful. Also while not everyone likes CW I find it pretty enjoyable even if I mostly do quickplay just because I'm catching up on eliting mechs.

I have been playing MWO for years ... yes YEARS with an S. The balance between Clan and IS has been the closest since the clans have been introduced. CW is still not worth playing if you play it solo. pug matches are still pug matches because of pugs. And lastly there have been some great changes in the year you have been away, along with new content (map and mechs), and some great things to come in the next few months (March, April, and May seem pretty big things and news for MWO).
