[Hit the Deck]

I guess a lot of people will choose the AC/20. Personally, I really like the LPL besides the AC/20 and it would be nice if my Clan Mechs can mount LPLs with their GH limit of 3.

Those are my picks so far ATM. What are yours?

LPLs and MPLs, that's probably it. The AC20 would be nice, if more Clan mechs had the velocity quirks to use it.

Well, Clan Mechs can mount TC, although the speed bonus is not that big.

Yeah, but that is a lot of weight to devote to something when you have cSPLs and such.

Indeed, it depends a lot on the mech in questions - rather, it's hardpoints and available tonnage.

No one said, or will ever think of mentioning IS ERPPC or IS Gauss. That needs to be remedied.

Actually, that's my other reason for creating this thread. When some people are considering to have supposedly inferior IS weapons on their "superior" Clan Mechs, then those weapons and their counterparts could be in balance.

IS ACs just suit me, though uac10&20 are much better now

Then you might also want to ask what Clan weapons we'd want on our IS 'Mechs, too.

Limit it to weapons, exclude engines and TCs and DHS.

For much the same reason Clan mechs don't run them.

ERPPC's are bad.

Just trip iLPLs or PPCs on a select few builds.

The other way around though? Pretty much all the lasers and gauss.

EDIT: Should add cSRMs to that list too.

Would definitely use the low heat ML's on quite a few lights and mediums. Would put some PPC's (again lower heat) on quite a few mechs. My timby's and EBJ's would gladly swap clan UAC-5's for IS UAC-5's (single shot). In addition I would use AC-10's and 20's, I can think of quite a few mechs that would love the Large Lasers and the 3 Ghost heat ERLL's the IS has.
