I have a great idea. Get this, instead of trying to work this off the countless load out variations just add up the alpha damage total. Mind blown or what.

Its called math.

The table top guys will go berzerk yelling "what is this witchcraft" "what ever this math thing is, it has no place in Battletech!"

The TT guys should be demanding a proper heat scale not some new or arbitrary mechanic. (Not saying that yours is, mind you.)

Well this "math" idea isn't much of an idea because I don't really know the details and it isn't my idea anyway. :)

But going off alpha total instead of load outs, or something like that is an idea. But maybe it would limit load out variety I don't know.
