No. It needs PPC quirks. 100% velocity, -35% heat generation AND -20% cooldown. Posted Image

Why would we want a mech thats pretty much exactly the same as one we already have?

Screw the Thug. The Hatamoto-Chi is the same thing but with more variants. Plus the in game model can share art assets with the Charger which cuts down on workload.

The Thug already exists as the Awesome 8T. Enjoy!

I also want a Thug, last time I saw one in a MW game was....MW2 I think. Looked mean in that game. I think Alex could make a fearsome looking Thug for MWO also. It would either get hardpoint inflation or some pretty nifty offensive quirks here.

Thug and Cyclops are on my short list for MWO yet. I don;t want a Cyclops until they can re-release the glowing red eyes the beta Atlas had, so Cyclops can have that menacing red orb of a cockpit.

I've been right here, all along. And I understand where you're coming from, who wouldn't want a thug on their team?

Totally needs more hardpoints.

Thug 10E: (also has single heatsinks, not double)
Stock [weapons]: 2 x SRM 4, 2 x PPC.
Stock [hardpoints] 2 x Energy, 2 x Missile.
Inflated [hardpoints] 6 x Energy, 2 x Missile

Reasoning [hardpoints] it has the worst missile capability of all thugs, thus I want it to have the lowest amount of hardpoints.

Thug 11E:
Stock [weapons]: 2 x SRM 6, 2 x PPC.
Stock [hardpoints] 2 x Energy, 2 x Missile.
Inflated [hardpoints] 4x Energy,4 x Missile

Reasoning [hardpoints]: main variant thus most ballanced. Has approximately equal missile and energy capabilities.

Thug 11Eb: (lost 2 DHS)
Stock [weapons]: 2 x SRM 6, 2 x ER PPC.
Stock [hardpoints] 2 x Energy, 2 x Missile.
Inflated [hardpoints] 2 x Energy, 4 x Missile

Reasoning [hardpoints]: Is improvement over stock 11E. Will have superior ER PPC quirks to compensate for lack of missile hardpoints. Will be best for 'quirks' but not for hardpoints. May have double AMS.

Overall theme: strong quirks for it's low selection of weapons. All quirked targeting it's PPC's and it's SRM's. Isn't the best option for lasers or LRM's.

PGI possible 4th variant make ups:

Thug 11P (PGI variant)
Themed of 13K
Has 2 ER PPC's in each arm and 2 Medium pulse lasers in each side torso. Giving it 8E hardpoints

option 2:

Replaces arms for AC 10's, downgrades SRM 6's to 4's, The Thug is based of the Warhammer as an improvement, THe Warhammer has a brother known as hammerhands which replaces PPC's with AC's.

Option 3:

Thug has only 1E each arm but has SRM's in arms as well. (Making it kinda like the Gargoyle prime in weapon layout but with PPC's in the arms instead of LBX 5, Still keeps side torso SRM's however.)

Community warfare will soon have different deals and encouragement to play your factions mech. The Thug will be unique for it's factions selection. When Repair and rearm is reintroduced if it does- CW will also give this a repair discount for it's factions and when captured tech becomes a thing the Draconis combine may feel happy about attacking the federated suns so that the dracs captured Thugs got better parts/ salvage/ what ever.

So the Thug is an older, heavier, slower Uziel (UZL-2S).

I kind of want the Uziel instead.

Well, no.

The Thug is newer, heavier, more durable and better armed Warhammer.

I'd love to see a Thug in-game. It would move faster than the AWS-8T at about 65 kph stock.

After all, it was a competitor to the Warhammer.

I'd take a Thug. I had an Awesome built out like one once, but would really like to see what PGI/Alex can do for it too.
