I'm wondering if PGI is secret testing bots live.
I've seen some horrible gameplay and mechs shooting at large rock formations.
Just wandering off in the opposite direction of the enemy.
Anyone else notice this?
Or maybe people are just that bad.
I mean everyone starts somewhere, but this is down right strange.
Had video, but my fraps frapped out on me for some reason.

I've personally, more than once, had to leave my PC in a match to attend to a Child Emergency, to come back and find The Other Child monkeying with my PC - thus, it's not impossible that you saw me doing something like that.

Also, while I don't drink often, when I do drink I'm sure to end up gaming at some point and I'm definitely not one of those people who plays better when drunk

Did you at least screenshot the scoreboard so that you could cross-reference their names with forum accounts? Usually PGI's bots have blatant bot-like names, like p##<weightclass>## and last we knew they weren't capable of doing anything except shooting each other at spawn.

PGI has been giving BOTS more player-like names, for example:

W A R K H A N
Antonius Rex
NovaKaine
Tarogato

They also have some built-in AI chat features that are fun to try out.

Sometimes I'll have my wife try a game or two. I usually have her shoot while I drive. Our record is two kills in a match - it was awesome. We shot lots of rocks.

I think the Bots would know better than to hit rocks.


They'd be aimbotting faces or CTs (or whatever is most damaged, turrets used to do that).
But Rocks?
That's pure PUG LIFE behaviour.

Can't be as bad as the ai turrets or drop ships that would always aim for your legs and ct. with 100% hit rate unless you used a team mate for a robo shield.

I'm 99.999% sure that PGI haven't ever tested their AI on the live servers (although it'd be cool if they had been). The weird instance awhile back of people coming up against bot-like named players was a group of people trolling the group queue.

Well you'd be wrong... As a PGI staffer admitted to bots getting lose into live once, I remember that.

This, omg, this is me at times Wintersdark. I have 7 kiddos, so i know how this goes lol
