I originally thought it looked like the VF-1S, believe me I love me some Macross AKA Robotech, but I personally thought it looked like the

LM312V04+SD-VB03A V-Dash from Gundam.

Everyone commenting is pointing out the features that dont look similar, but thats common sense. The design DEV isn't that stupid... Hopefully to completely copy the robots piece per piece... The similarities in my eyes are much more drawing to me than the differences.

There's a reason they look alike. The designers from the TT game took a lot of "inspiration" from the mecha based anime of the time.

(HG called it "theft of intellectual property" but meh, let's not quibble over semantics.)

this anythign else, face, gun arms, shoulders, hands, legs looks entirely different. If OP thinks they look extremely the same, then you can say spider, commando and Firestarter are also "scary similar"

I know my mecha designs, and MWO mecha are just fundamentally different from Gundam designs. Don't make me throw my pen at you.
