Yes you can get the Basic pack and both heroes only, if thats what you want.

Imo its $35 (basic pack + reinforcements) or nothing. The obvious best variant is one of the reinforcements so you need that or you will have good mech envy. The bonus (S) variant and the Heros look like they will be bad (no MASC or ECM and meh hardpoints) so there doesnt seem any point spending money on mechs that wont get used...

Only bought the Basic myself (For the early bonuses), The (S) is only a C-Bill boost for a Variant I likely won't use except to level the mech, so no sale there, The Hero's also don't use a built I'm overly impressed with, The Kuro Kiri is built ok, but I'm not "Feeling" the paint job, may get it later, the other one Has a nice paint job, but I'm a Davion Loyalist, thru and thru, so wouldn't buy it out of principle (Its a Marik design), so its out. As for the final add on, ok, sure a 2nd ECM Phoenix Hawk, but do I really need more than 1? not really, so didn't buy that add on, again, maybe later as it gets closer to being released.

Basic gets me the 3 mechs I need to Master the class and that's all that really matters, would the C-bill boost off the 2 Hero's be nice? Sure, but I'm not dishing out another 30$ for a C-bill boost in variants I likely won't use.
