Is there an online mechlab with no limitations yet similar to Smurphy's? I want to theory craft some very custom Urbanmechs for a project that won't fit the mold of MWO yet still conform to the slot/tonnage requirements. Doing it in Excel is possible but don't want to reinvent the wheel if possible.

Solaris Skunk Werks is the Master Race.
It's basically the Smurfys of Tabletop.

I'm not sure how it is done but I saw some smurfy links with free customization (hardpoints and engine cap and stuff), would be cool for unreleased mechs, too.

Couldn't find the freebie for Heavy Metal Pro but I got SkunkWerks installed and working.
THANK YOU!

Remlab was my go-to for creating and printing out old TT builds when we didn't have the originals to photocopy.
Remlab is the best!
(though that skunworks looks pretty neat)

It's the best I've found, however it doesn't do MWO engine rules (IE, none). Still, you get the Crits, TT engines rules and otherwise full weapon freedom.

Supprised nobody mentioned LiSong. It uses all in game data so you can build mechs exactly as they would be in game with all the important data you'd need.

I like SSW, but I also use the one for MegaMek as well, but SSW can port to MegaMek and is a lot cleaner, so SSW is my go-to.

I do wish Smurphy's had like a 'sandbox' mode that would unlock customization options like ES/FF on Omnis and things like that so you could do 'what if' builds.
Not that Smurphy's isn't already pretty awesome to have access to.

I really like Smurphy's so methinks I will try to suggest it to him. One of my needs is a Hatchet, something we'll never see in MWO. 8(
