Anyways, besides SAVING MECH LOADOUTS, another thing PGI should do to draw more funds is to allow more Mech customization for MC, and reduce some of the costs for "permanent unlocks" and such.
To be honest I would spend much more money on customizing my Mechs' if I felt that my purchase was worth the money. I *am not* operating on the premise that "I'll spend $30 a month customizing my Mechs, but gosh darn it, I wish my $30 went further." I am operating under "I would spend $30 a month if my MC went further, but it doesn't go far enough so I won't spend the $30."

I can agree with this.
I buy every top mech pack, yet I only play one mech.
I have 39,185 MC nothing to buy with it.
797 Days of Premium Time. That I won't activate because nothing brings me to this game anymore.
With a grand total of $2,497 spent on this game, I pretty much have nothing to look forward to till Dec (and even that is a maybe). I did try to get my childhood mech into the game and I got real close, but **** it, I'm getting burnt out on fighting the good fight at this point. Too many trolls are allowed to run rampant on these forums. So, yes, I do most of my dealings on twitter and just block people, a function I would greatly love to see added to these forums. Would have saved me so much trouble.
I'm just waiting on the engine update, Single Player, and the Mad Cat MK II, and then these forums will likely never see me again.
Too much time was wasted on CW, this community better use it, you cried for it. I always thought it was a huge waste.
TL;DR
The trolls in these forums will swat needed change. So why bother...

2.) Hire somebody who knows how to build maps.
3.) Hire somebody who knows how to design game modes.
Have you ever played Evolve? I like the way their game modes work. What you do in the first round effects the proceeding rounds.

Of course, Solaris mode with weekly tournaments would be a good cure for my itch, as well. Be sure to separate server ladders, so my ping will not be too much of a detriment to my performance.

In addition to your power draw system; I hope they take the Lore Canon approach to power draw. Where excessive weapon alpha causes the weapon firing to be staggered, because the engine has yet to generate the power per second.
@ original poster.
Also, I'll embrace any new game mode that isn't Skirmish. It actually sounds pretty rad after listening to the Town Hall about it.
Price griping? No one is forcing you to buy anything.. Though it is odd how they strayed away from the Tonnage per Dollar system.
Maybe these staggered releases and Development team splitting have something to do with it.

I actually like How Team Fortress 2 did progressive map rounds. One super large map that each round gets divided into sections each round. Like a Giant game of reverse tug of war.
Also a #$%k ton of hate for a game mode that hasn't been realized yet.

Overall, I'm disappointed in MWO, and I spend money here out of nostalgia (and to get more chassis for HBS' upcoming game). I feel like development is slow to abysmally slow, communication is poor (with staggered bursts of pretty good), game balance is fair but adjusted slowly, and content creation is much too narrowly focused on 'mech packs.
Community Warfare and Role Warfare should've made this game fun and engaging. Instead, we have a pathetic CW game spamming one non-canon mission (there are no giant planetary defense gauss cannons in Battletech that I recall) on terrible maps. Role Warfare is nonexistent. Infowar went away months ago and we've heard not a peep about it since.
On top of all this, the problems MWO has have persisted, in many cases, for YEARS. Even fairly simple to fix ones. I get that their development team isn't huge, and things take time, and they can't do everything at once, but features which should've been in the game at launch *still* aren't here. And may not arrive for further months, if ever.
Once we get the last of the newseen, I can't see myself spending anything else on MWO. (And deep down I know I shouldn't be buying the newseen, but I love those old 'mechs, and Alex's art is enough to get me to click the 'purchase' button). Unless the game changes or improves on a level I just can't see this team delivering, the last newseen pack will be the last $ I spend. And that's too bad, because I really want to love this game and support it.
It's just so mediocre. And it could've been great. Sad.

Because the stream of the game mode was laughably disastrous. When PGI staff feel they need to speed up the timer to end their new game mode early; that really is saying something.

No they read the forums.
If you want to feel self important and like you have "pull", then you use Twitter.
But I wish they would read that section called Feature Suggestions more. That is where the good ideas are.

Saved loadouts will drastically decrease Mechlab time and increase gaming time on the live servers.
More time in game, less time in Mechlab. That's how F2P games work - by keeping people in the game queue to reduce everyone's waiting times. The more time I spend in the mechlab, the less time I contribute to the playerbase 's gaming experience.
Heck, I am a massivly paying player, and know more about free player mechanics than PGI does, it seems.
somebody in your sig probably thought that no saved loadouts meant moar mechbay$

Yep but that's more mech. Really this game should be called Mech at the moment and not MechWarrior.
Its extremely well done but no effort at all has been put into major areas that any complete game AAA game has as part of their product.
I watch Worth A Buy basically daily, Mack would go completely off the leash about this game. An epic rant of collosal proportions. Why? Because they are charging AAA prices but only delivering a fraction of a AAA game...
That's standard in the industry at the moment mostly because high competition aside from very few top games, bt it doesn't change the facts.
ANyway whats in game is really top end and whats half done holds a lot of promise, but its an excerise in patience more than enjoying a great game at this point.
Maybe all of this will change because I really think "Phase 3" will be awesome, but things like any back story and things like pilot character creation which is essential for players to enjoy a game are completely missing and "Phase 3" will be somewhat ruined by that.
