Removable Or Destroyable 'doors'

My posts very simple and more directed to Mechs like the Stalkers or the upcoming Archer, the Archers going to have massive doors that will stick up and just be a nightmare, ok for LRM's, gonna be horrible if you wanna brawl with SRM's or even the rarer streaks, I mean its the Mad dogs IS cousin by appearance but the dog doesnt deal with doors, now to my mind open doors this big will mean hit laser here ruin the torso.

Maybe consider Mechlab allowance remove doors by choice

Or

Give the doors their own HP and if they blowoff, well, its just cosmetic.


Curveball for the Archer, those doors are otherwise gonna be a horrible thing have open in an SRM fight, and open closing them all the time, the fun of more multitask!

This was already confirmed (to a degree).

If the doors get hit enough they fall off and this will be universal across all mechs with doors... not sure if this counts the Kingcrabs and the crabs 'claws' though.

Oh and it isn't cosmetic btw. The doors do provide a percentage bonus that basically reduces incoming damage there. So once that door blows off your ST's will get more damage....

Doesnt matter what they do for incoming damage if you're an SRM boat, kinda need them open alot, I'd much prefer having option to detach them myself!

Why you can`t just open it with a standard key?("/" by default)
