You do you OP. It's easy to criticize after the pieces have fallen into place, hard to try to get things rolling.
From how you describe your conduct on VOIP, I'd say you're doing it right. Early introductions, conversation about what to do, calling targets, vulnerabilities, etc. Take the good with the bad, the wins with the losses. When the late-game ragers begin to rant, I use it as a zen exercise. Let their criticism wash over and past you. If it's a valid critique, maybe store it for later, but the salt isn't worth your time or energy. Mute 'em, report 'em, or just ignore 'em.
Rinse and repeat.
